Cawar, I donÂ’t see your point. The Islamic courts that existed were all hawiye and they united to fight for justice and to get rid of hawiye warlords in hawiye lands. They then went further and engaged in talks with minority clans in the capital and surrounding areas and established Islamic courts that represent them. The supreme council is NOT made up of 100% hawiye wadaado, there are also raxanweyn and other minority clans. The absence of darood membership in the supreme council is due to lack of darood Islamic courts. Once there are darood Islamic courts operating, there will be supreme council members from those clans. The point is not lack of talks or support. Dahir Aweys has a lot Darood wadaado as friends, these wadaado were working to beat the qabiil desease. They have learnt to pay attention to qabiil sensitivities but you will see an end to the qabiil rubbish as soon as they get real power. The wadaado in Puntland are going to reclaim their position soon enough.

This is temporary alliance of convenience. I mean when the ICU brought in hundreds of Oromo/Ogaden fighters from Ethiopia to fight the General and the Sacad militia well, its pure hypocrisy for the ICU to point the finger at Qeybdiid for allegedly seeking Ethiopian support.

A smart enemy knows when to quit when they have the upper hand and show mercy to the defeated ones. The ICU couldn't let the General be as he sought refuge in his qabiil land. They used this as excuse to expand and occupy GalMudug by saying Qeybdiid was there.

So today, when push comes to shove and in light of the fact that the ICU is getting military aid from Eritrea which will be used against the Sacad in GalMudug, we are forced to seek any counteraid be it from any source, even if it means Israeli aid.
