"You are not making sense even a bit! Any who, you are not the Law maker here so you either going to abide it or else. No buts or ifs period. I tried to reason with you but I forgot I was talking to a wall."

Aiman,

The term "True Believer" is not a compliment in the West. We tend to think you are talking to a mirror, not a wall.

I must agree that Mac goes over the top with great regularity, but I have come to the conclusion that he is only meeting insult with insult. I see it as a very Somali thing.

Do you recall what happened when the offensively easily offended abandoned the kaafirs and porners to join and create more moderated and religious sites? Mono-thought is not a wonderful thing. We do need our devil's advocates.

"but Islamic or any other religion bashing shall not be tolerated in here..." Perhaps both of you should re-read the rules.

Mac,

You demand that they observe the laws of Westphalean states and the rules of land warfare.

Fair's fair. Provocation and counter-provocation is a silly game. Embarassed

I am not joining in this kufr power thing.

It's been clear to me, that this Grant character is a wolf in sheep's clothing, From the moment he set foot on Snet, I knew, what his purpose was, lately he's been tailgating MADMAC, and reasoning with every lil thing that gaal says, at least grow some balls and admit that you have the least bit interest in Somali or islam, wasn't that you're mutual interest from the begining ? if I'm not mistaken, I think you have troubles reading between the lines, it's very clear without any rants that your not wanted and now as to kindly get your kafir ass out of this site, you fuckin gaal, Before I make it my personal interest to get you're filthy ass out.

Cheroke,

Waahaanahay gallo cadaan. I have never ever said otherwise. Nor have I made a secret of the fact there are elements of Islam that are incompatible with my core beliefs. FYI that is my actual photo as my avatar. If I am a wolf I would say I am pretty well exposed.

If you will read back over my posts you will find a serious questioning of many Islamic and Somali attitudes and practices. But I am fairly confident you won't find a single gratuitous insult either to Islam or the Prophet in the bunch.

I came to this site looking for word of Somali friends I made in the sixties, and have stayed on to catch up on what has happened since I left. Also to answer many, many questions that I had when I was there, but was unable to get answered because of difficulties in communication and simple lack of understanding of how Somali society worked. My interest in Somalis and Somalia is sincere and abiding.

The Islam that I knew in Somalia in the sixties was not yet radicalized. It was quite tolerant and the people I knew best would probably be described today as almost secular. I confess to being uncomfortable with local versions of Shariica and the Wahabi/Salafi school of Islam, but I'm not sure that puts me in a minority on this board.

I have thought seriously about my presence here. At least at first I tried very hard not to gaalify the board. I have since come to the conclusion that Somalis in the diaspora are in desparate need of devil's advocates who are at least knowlegeable and sympathetic to their interests.

I wish we could deal with each other on the basis of an exchange of information and content, and get over the insult thing. But deep down I know that wouldn't be good fadhi ku dirir.

Grant,

To be honest, It's not the fact that I dislike gaalo, don't get me wrong, It's the fact you're always around to comfort the likes of galol and mad mac, when someone is out to get them, either in some dispute or religious content debate, Anyone who stand's to defend them is either attempting to grasp their friendship, and that is the last thing we need in Somalinet is another gaal to accommodate their every last move , It's hard enough dealing with their insults regarding prophet Mohammed, pbuh, However, I'm not hardly convinced, if that perception of your's that you're protraying, is bearly believeable, Since you've stated clearly, That you have yet to badmouth islam or it's practices, only time will time, But til then I'll keep a close eye on you.

P.S, have you tried using avacore to rid that bald spot ? If you are interested, I hear it works like a charm. you should try it. Thats my two cents for day. Salama.
