you like so many misinterpret him. Rae days were 10 days off with no pay to gov't workers? Is that so wrong. Basically he was trying to save money sxb.

Then the 9 billion dollar deficit was due to the recession at the time. You know that mulroney a strong fiscal conservative man introduced the GST at the time just so he could pay budget deficits rite?

He took from the rich and gave to the lower middle class. In that period of time he alienated business and his small contributions towards social funding weren't enoght to justify the business tax increases. He surely gets a bad rap.

He is and was more popular outside of ontario then inside of it. Which was why he lost. If he had half as much support in ONT as the rest of canada he would be the future PM of Canada.
