If the government was justified in killing Isaaqs, then Hawiye are justified in killing Daaroods, especially Abgaal who were being used and abused in their own land. Thats using your sick logic, unfortunately I don't harbor that sort hate to say that Hawiye's were justified in killing Daarood, thats fine though. We all don't have the same beliefs and morals.

Samatr,

I dont think the government was particularly concerned about hatred. It would smoke anyone who opposed it. Whether Mareexaan, Majeerteen and Isaaq or Hawiye. After if Siyaad really hated Isaaq he wouldnt have made your uncle Ismaaciil Axmed a General. He would have put him in Jail or worse Killed him.

But that was not the case. AnyIsaaq who did not oppose him prospered or was left alone. But any Isaaq who took up arms agains tht government got shot. So did the Majeerteen Daaroods who took up arms against the government. They were killed dead.

It was not a tribal thing. It was a power thing.

Hawiye on the other hand just wanted Daarood dead. Regardless of their political views or alignments. Cabdiqaasim Salaad, Kulmiye and Maxamed Sheekh Cismaan(Siyaad's stooge ministers and Generals) were feted as heroes. And long time Anti Siyaad activists were being hunted down and killed. Where is the logic?

There is the essential difference.

Sxb your own uncles were amongst the top brass. Your president of your country was manning berbera exterminations of idoors. How can you blame others when your own do that shit too you? Shit Hawiye civilians knocked on door too door and killed anybody who was darood. Even if you were a idoor and suspected you to be a dhulos because of your accent you were shot. CAN THAT BE JUSTIFIED?

Weren't you the same guy who argued that the somali flag was created by an idoor? You know about as much about somali history as a chink does Laughing

Have you read Morgans letter of death, were he basically says we have to kill all Isaaq. Everybody was in the military, my father and many uncles were in the military it didn't mean much. If you were a healthy young male the chances of you going to the military were good unless you were filthy rich or a nomad.

The facts are there, The government bombed its own people and that letter for Morgan is there for everybody to see. The Majeerteen SSDF went back to Siyad Barre because of Daaroodnimo or they were badly beatern I don't know much about their rebel movement, they basically went back to Siyaad. Siyaad Barre is dead, there is no use of me talking about his about his bad deeds, since he is dead I should only say good things, unfortunately I have nothing good to say about him, so lets leave Siyaad Barre's good/bad deeds at that.

Dawladsade

Maxamed Aadan Sheekh was an intelligent dude. He was a Gramscian marxist and was for a time the chief ideologue of the Somali socialist party. I think he succeeded the Cabdiraxmaan Caydiid, the diehard dhulbahante communist in that job.

I knew Maxamed Aadan sheekhs kids Kooshin and the cute tiny girl

Samatr,

My dad was recriuted into the Army when he was like 16 by an Isaaq guy, who himself happened to be the Supreme Revolutionary guys.

My dad told me the story.......he was an orphan and he went to Xamar and the Isaaq guy turned him away, he told him you were too young.

Then my dad told him he was an orphan and that his mother and father were the Somali flag....

Then the Isaaq guy conscripted him, the Isaaq guy was one of Siad Barre's colleagues who did the coup.

I think I know who you are talking about, he's a close family member, Siad Barre later jailed him because Siyaad and him didnt see eye to eye, Siyaad thought he would turn on him and assasinate him, he was also one of the first journalists in all of Somalia, thats if we are talking about the same person.Laughing
