raganimo are u warsan? dont you agree that both warsans and dhulos separately benefit from an independent SL as they would have more prominence than be sidelined by other darod if SL and somalia united

Nah we would get sidelined by isaaqs as soon as ictiraaf became a reality  That's a cold fact sxb.

But at the end of the day, it's not about what I or anybody else wants or believes. Ictiraaf will only become a reality when/if it serves some sort of benefit for these cadaans and if the FG decides to open talks. That will never happen .

I don't think that Somaliland will dissolve either. It's a relatively well-functioning state and will most likely end up becoming an autonomous region as will Puntland.

According to international law and the international community, Somaliland is a regional state in Somalia.

Recognition will most likely never happen. Your best bet is to become a self-governing region.
I dare you to come here and see for yourself a de facto state is nonetheless a country.

The jahiiliin darood always sensitive its more likely zoomalia will stay unstable and never peaceful.
It's the cold hard facts sxb. It's just how it works. It's been 25+ years already. Maybe after 25 more years you will finally get the memo. This ictiraaf thing is not happening and it has nothing to do with Darood. The powers that be do not want to recognise Somaliland and you do not have a strong case for changing that perspective.

If I was a daroodist it would be against my interests to share a country with Isaaqs as we would then run the risk of hawiyes and Isaaq trying to sideline us from the political process. SL recognition would be good for us from a tribal policy perspective. At least now, we only have to deal with the hawiyes.
Zoomalia will most likey never be peaceful dont blame Somaliland for your misery we are two light years ahead of your weak kind ok tuna man.

You've come as far as you can go without ictiraaf sxb. This is the harsh reality. Somaliland would be even greater if it was internationally recognised.

Insulting Dir will not separate you from your reality! I find it ironic that those bragging about having numbers, are the very people imploring an alliance of beelaha Dir iyo Hawiye in 19kalacaraar! Be thankful waqooyi galbeed iyo gashaamo has peaceful residence. Had it been us, reer gashaamo, reer gabiley iyo reer awadal would be pointing their fingers at graveyards when anyone mentions the extinct SM.

no one is insulting dir well i am not at least i am just saying forming an alliance with dir is just useless for isaaq. dir is so small in the south they cant make any changes or have any weight there. dir in the south have no mamuul goboleed of their own and have no great position as president prime minister and president. for isaaq an alliance with digil mirilfe could work. since isaaq cant have an alliance with neither hawiye or darood dm should be the best option its just politics nothing else cid dir neceb ma jirto. dir has done nothing wrong to isaaq. we just have nothing to offer each other.

Saying Dir is small with conviction on here doesn't make it true! Your right, we don't have a mamuul but what we do have is a country! Wake me up when ishak, and Darood reach that milestone!
-
Teeda kale, DM has a mamul waa war la gartay, but their leader is shariif sakiin oo Asharaf ah, what land does Asharaf have in Somalia ?
-
Ka sii soco, J/land OG baa madaxweyn ka eh ? What land do they actually own aside from Afmadoow meel kale iisheeg ?
-
These mamuuls are not based on having numbers but rather knowing who your strategically aligned with, we all know Rahweyn want to overthrow Sakiin considering they can't stand the man, and the same implies for the residence of Juboyinka iyo Gedo. Take away foreign intervention and those two mamul will crumble in a heartbeat, although I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.

^foreign intervention, you mean like Amisom, Ethiopia, Turkey and the US?

Because all of those nations have military presence in your degaans. Aside from Kenyan presence in jubba none of us have ajnabis crawling up our asses sxb. You can't even visit xamar without paying homage to Matumbo from Burundi..

MY RESPONSE:

I agree that Sharif Hassan as a leader of Southwest State was imposed on Rahanweyn by Ethiopian intervention, just as Madoobe was imposed by Kenyan tanks (the famous buffer zone admitted by Kenya). We all know how Jubbaland power sharing is based on sadbursi for Ogaadeen & Marehan.

Digil/Mirifle opposition of Sharif Hassan is because of his selfish and corrupt politics, and not because of his Asharaaf Sarmaan clan, who are part and parcel of the Mirifle, and their Deegaan is in Sarmaan area near Xuddur in Bakool and also Berdaale district (which they share with Leysaan clan) in Bay region.

Clan federalism will not make Somalia stable. National, regional and local administrations should be elected directly by the people.

I totally agree that Siyaad Barre started using government resources and power to benefit his clan especially MOD (Marehan, Ogaden, and Dhulbahante )... During civil rule of 1960-1969, the SYL became corrupt and a vehicle of Majeerteen. Somalia will be stable when we abandon greed and the mentality of clan hegemony. No single clan family or sub clan has the power to hold power too long without consent of all Somalis.

Mj's ruined the first republic, with the clan clash of MS and CS.
