Fierce?? that sounds so ancient in the present day. Are we still fighting gender wars?? not in my culture no. I don't think men like "fierce" women. Do we apreciate them....hell naww.

And that's real men too. I can't speak for somali men cuz i ain't somali but the notion that men marry "imports" because they're docile and submissive is a rather dumb stereotype. I think they marry some because they truly love them and they feel appreciated and respected more...its that simple.

I think Halimo is taking a leaf from Ashley and turning into something from a horror movie.

A Halimo WAS by nature respectful, humble and caring, but are nowadays being misled by Ashley, who looks more manly than Schwarznegger, she sits on a rocking chair in a bar, legs crossed on the table with fading Jeans and sleeveless shirt that shows biceps tattooed with barbed wire, smoking a cigar and drinking beer from the bottle and wearing a cowboy hat, swearing worse than a truck driver, that is the worst turn-off for a man, but Halimo thinks it's cool.

Halimo need to go back to her roots and become once again that obeying-her-hubby lady, blushfull, shy, decent and well mannered, voice her concerns in a dignified way without offending her soulmate.

There were some nagging Halimos too, but they were well known in the neighborhood and earned nicknames such as, Qumayo, Caasho Afdheer, Halimo cod weyn, Carrawelo, and last but not least, Alla qaad.
