Two days after landing in Toronto, I had to go and see an immigration lawyer. A Somali dude i've never met gave a ride, and halfway to the ride I realized I didn't bring some needed papers and we had to go back to get'em. So the man asked me how is that I forgot my paperwork, and I told him that my sister had them with her. This man gives me the most serious look i've ever seen and says to me " Don't u ever depend on anyone but urself". It made upset for a sec but that truly changed me, cause before that it was all about what my parents did for me.
