First of all this was a Talxe-Galjeecel feud (ask anybody who has family in Kismayo), secondly the Marehan in Kismayo were so indifferent to the situation it was as if two Hawiye subclans were fighting. They intervened and agreed to kill any Talxe who killed a Galjeecel. Sure enough one of them did, and he was captured by MAREHAN forces, taken to the Marehan elders, then the Marehan elders transferred him to the Galjeecel elders who ordered him to be executed. Ofcourse, this level of justice (Marehan killing Marehan for killing a Hawiye) is way, way beyond you or any other Hawiye tribesmen's scope. The day I see a HG killing a HG for killing a Darood will be the first.

So something must have changed from then till now, cuz there is a sudden shift in dealing with these affaires. Reasoning according to your logic I guess not long ago there was no apparent danger for retaliation or escalation of conflict, or even if this danger existed your people felt condifend and safe to deal with them when they occured, thus killing 10 for 1 is good and something to bragg about. Today things changed, so killing 1 for 1 is the least they can accept to avoid escalation of conflict and retaliation. So realities on the ground have changed.

Just a political analysis, keep your emotions under check or leave politics to coolheaded people.

Dude, why answer this question: Any person with a tad of logic would be happy that there is capital punsihment for offenders no matter what the clan. With that being said, only uncivilized people like you would use that as an oppritunity to take something away from one side (Marehan ofcourse). Explain that reasoning.

and then I showed you a different perspective on this matter: namely that it isn't about justice but just a political sacrifice to keep Gaaljecel happy for now...since Kismaanyo faces other threats coming from other groups.
