what makes you say it was a darood government? It was real daroods who started the rebellion against the dictatorship. You SNM were inspired and followed the lead of the SSDF, of course the ban on qat was also a driving force in the qaldaan rebellion.

What exactly of substance did he accomplish? Even a monkey with alzheimer's could've done something better with the country considering the ridiculous amount out of foreign aid somalia was receiving.

All of it was wasted on bloated government that did nothing for the average somali. I'll give him credit for some social programs but those programs meant nothing if unemployment was low and the country was dependent on foreign aid. How else do you explain the fact that a lot of somalis were living off remittance from abroad? Not to mention the shady dealings inside he's government that meant people with no connection to the government could easily be ripped off their land. Now this is just looking at the economics and social problems created that dictatorship, never mind the bumbling military leadership and the massacre of millions.

And also what does it say of a leader if he doesn't/can't prepare the country to move one when he's dead as he clearly had no vision of the country without him?

But they have nothing to do with SNM. Inspired or not they are 2 separte entity's Majeerteen were power hungrey backward people all their lives, and still are. The same people that made SSDF (Abdillah Yusuf) and the like.

2. Khaat was banned in mid-80's and was not the why SNM formed? the SNM formed in 1977 for your information which is much ealier than the mid-80's Khaat ban.
