Burco is heaven far from hell  may Allah protect the God fearing and humble people of Burco and Somaliland.

It is sader when one deny's that he/ she were born as "ilma Xaran" though the profits of the weak and inncocent, that the corrupt Darood Government placed on defenceless and humble people of Somalia.

You are just another token "ilma Xaran" , I would not expect you to have sympathy or compassion for the poor people that your uncle Sayiid Barre "Devil" murdered and raped

How many times must individuals use that weary line to rationalize their previous poor living conditions? You must understand something, kiddo. When you work and try hard you become successful, but if you sit on your butt and pray for fortune one day you'd turn to the mirror and see visible winkles. Everyone had the same opportunities in Somalia-- your family just didn't make use of it.

Siad will always remain your Master. Why? Because you think of him day in and out, he is in your system. Your blame game reminds me of when people sued McDonald's saying they made them "fat", not because they were eating 5 meals a day with a diet coke.

what makes you say it was a darood government? It was real daroods who started the rebellion against the dictatorship. You SNM were inspired and followed the lead of the SSDF, of course the ban on qat was also a driving force in the qaldaan rebellion.

Cawar

What exactly of substance did he accomplish? Even a monkey with alzheimer's could've done something better with the country considering the ridiculous amount out of foreign aid somalia was receiving.

All of it was wasted on bloated government that did nothing for the average somali. I'll give him credit for some social programs but those programs meant nothing if unemployment was low and the country was dependent on foreign aid. How else do you explain the fact that a lot of somalis were living off remittance from abroad? Not to mention the shady dealings inside he's government that meant people with no connection to the government could easily be ripped off their land. Now this is just looking at the economics and social problems created that dictatorship, never mind the bumbling military leadership and the massacre of millions.

And also what does it say of a leader if he doesn't/can't prepare the country to move one when he's dead as he clearly had no vision of the country without him?

The early years of MSB, people loved him and were hoping for something better but he squandered the opportunity and lead us directly to where we are now, starting over from the beginning.

History has shown MSB(aun) to be nothing more than a typical african dictator. He's done some good, but the bad overweights the little he did accomplish.

Never knew two rock on top of one another with one chair was considered a mansion. Next time you are going to tell me Somaliland is a country---oh nevermind. Siad was legitimate he was the leader of a country, one that was recognized. Daroods don't go hang around the British parliament crying and begging for an cadaan man to reconginze a disillusioned state. The only Somali people on the planet to worship caadans-- no wonder your Livers are failing from all the Diana consumption.

1. I know who SSDF are very well
But they have nothing to do with SNM. Inspired or not they are 2 separte entity's  Majeerteen were power hungrey backward people all their lives, and still are. The same people that made SSDF (Abdillah Yusuf) and the like.

2. Khaat was banned in mid-80's and was not the why SNM formed? the SNM formed in 1977 for your information  which is much ealier than the mid-80's Khaat ban.

3. It was as Darood as Republican are white  now the Majeeteen were later appaesed and were quite happy by the time the SNM started their 'karbashing', in fact Morgan and The General of was Hanged in Burco were both Majeeteen and the propiaters of whole sale muder and genocide.

So your analsyis is totally flawed

Without SSDF showing the reer baadiye SNM the art of rebellion, I'm pretty sure the harmless qaldaans would've been happy continuing to pimp their girls to foreigners and chewing their life away.

Show some respect.

Facts are facts sxb..and AY is our leader today..so lets see what he accopmlishes..despite all these unfavorable situations he is facing.

A man is judged by what he has accomplished..and what failures he has done..and Siad is not immune to that.

But I reject the noton that some belive..i.e some MJs..he killed my uncle so he must be evil..

Damn the guy killed my own uncle in 1978..do you see me complaining about it?? never!!!

I can't fathom why some people here still support Siyad Barre and his regime!

This spectacle is embarrassing and devastating!

As any Somali knows by now, Siyad Barre was a dictator: a tyrant, and a killer, despotic, authoritarian, greedy, and cruel like a Nazi soldier who oppressed and exploited everyone and everything.

So, what is there to like him?

There really are no words to describe him, if you lived under his rule.

The guy who started this needs a shrink..its not good for his hero.Let the man rest in peace.Further more he was the foundation of the civil, the reason why somaliland dont trust the blue flag.So its easy to blame others for your hero's incompetence, but the truth always prevails.
