Well the fact that he's still with her is maybe a good indicator that its working out. ...I'm very baffled to be honest.

Why do you guys care about the race of who you marry....when all you should be asking yourself is 'will this person take me to jannah' meaning will he. she for fill the rights of Allah, and be a righteous muslim?

Nothing else matters, of course if you prefer to marry a Somali then Mashallah but to look down on other races is arrogance and no muslim will go to jannah with arrogance in their heart or pride.

As for dissing your own people...well you father and you mother were somali...so stop dissing people no matter what they do for that is not your business (by the way this is a reminder to everyone and not to a specific person)

As for dating...that is haram and if one really respect oneself and family and Deen then one seeks the hand of the sister by going to her father and not meeting her by herself or clubbing etc.

And for the guys who think they'll mess around and when ready to get married look for a decent girl...well Allah is watching and he will not give you someone close to Him (so in reality the reasons why marriages fail in the Somali community if because people don't fear Allah and don't know their roles, with women wanting to work and Men going to the Marfish and chewing not knowing their own children ( this is only worse case scenarios)
Only with Islam and adhering to it is the way forward.

Ps i know a sister who is married to a White brother and they've been married for 10 years mashallah and are now living in Saudi, if the person is God-Fearing then the marriage works and if not then it fails simple!
