Where is any evidence to suggest wrong-doing on the woman's part? She accepted a piece of paper with a telephpone number, but who was the guy who gave it to her? Did the husband stop to put the whole story together? Was the young man the woman's relative? Was it harmless or malicious? Nobody knows. This is not how a man should act. When I first heard this story, the first thing that popped in to my head was that the man had a very weak character. He acted like a sissy and rather than practicing "sitra" which is covering for his wife's wrong-doing if she did any wrong, he acted on his emotion and humiliated himself, his kids and his wife.

A real man is above such behavior, only a bytch-ass whimp with an axe to grind acts the way he did. It wouldn't surprise me if he suffers from some type of psychological disorder, since nobody makes a habit of diagnosing such illnesses in the Middle east. Disgusting and vile behavior is very common in Saudi Arabia, the biggest abusers of Islam.

The only thing he ended up doing was humiliating himself & his poor kids. Imagine the scars that will leave on them; to watch their mother humiliated and for them to be abandoned in a packed mall. Un-Islamic behavior, if he was living under a legitimate Shari'ah rule, his wife could have challenged him for soiling her character. Do you know the religious ruling of acting on suspicion alone? I think he wanted to divorce her regardless and saw this as a great opportunity to do it without the usual reconciliatory process offered by families.

A real man would have taken his wife aside and investigated the whole matter in privacy, then if she was indeed guilty, would have divorced her in a manner that the Shari'ah permits. Without the need for melodrama & humiliation. The one who humiliates will face a greater humiliation on a day it counts the most, emotions are for the weak.

Suicidal tendancies, oppression of the weak i.e. women & non-Arab minorities, admiration for the white man, extreme anti-social patterns, etc. are all characteristics of the Arabs. Not all, but most of them do exhibit such qualities.

Don't forget Arab culture is entirely different from Muslim culture sxb. Much of what you see in these Arab countries pre-dates Islam and are age-old traditions that are still rooted in the people's psyche. Their obsession with everything women has always been a part of them.
