To answer your question, I'm Muslim. As a Muslim, you should hate their
actions for Allah SWT's sake.
sorry, but that's not the creed of ahl us-sunnah wal jamah - rather, it's the sad creed of today's typical muslim modernist who is more inclined to take his/her belief from kuffar batil concepts like egalitarianism rather than islam.
muslims should hate both the kuffar and their kufr - this from the book and the sunnah, and that which isn't from the book and the sunnah is utterly rejected by the believers. those whose actions we hate but not them per se aren't the kuffar but deviant muslims or sinful muslims. so be careful not to give rights only due to the believers to kuffar.
allah swt has given us an excellent example in ibraheem (as), that we must follow, when he declared his hatred for the people of shirk, including his own parents, for allah's sake. as allah the most high states in his book:
"There is a good example for you in Ibrahim and those with him, when they told their people: Surely we disassociate ourselves from you and all that you worship beside Allah. We have done with you. And there has arisen between us and you enmity and hate forever until you believe in Allah only." [60:4]
surely you won't deny any of allah's guidance! so it's incumbent upon you as a muslim to hate both the kuffar and their kufr, for your lord's sake, until they believe in allah alone.
next to tawheed, al wala wal bara is the foundation which your emaan rests upon and the first requirement to fulfilling your tawheed. as shaykh ul-islam ibn taymiyyah - rahimahullah - said:
"The declaration of faith, ‘There is no god but Allāh’, requires you to love only for the sake of Allāh, to hate only for the sake of Allāh, to ally yourself only for the sake of Allāh, to declare enmity only for the sake of Allāh; it requires you to love what Allāh loves and to hate what Allāh hates. It also requires you to ally yourself to the Muslims wherever you find them and to oppose the disbelievers even if they are your closest kin."(Al-Ihtijaj bi’l-Qadar, p.62)
and plus, hating someone's actions without hating them is a ridiculous and silly notion, to say the least, that goes against basic human nature. i have to think that even you - mr. yNf - hates, say, someone like ariel sharon (may burn in the depths of hell), or someone worse (if that's even possible). no? if not, then you must be a radical and extreme buddhist. lol.
i hate someone like ariel sharon, as do most sane people. but the #1 reason why i hate him is not because of the heinous crimes he has committed against the palestinian people - though i hate him plenty for that - but because of his kufr. nothing is more hated to allah swt than shirk and those who fail to reject it. and whatever/whoever allah swt hates or loves, a believe must hate or love. as simple as that.
so learn about your deen from the book, the sunnah, with understanding of the salaf (raa) and the ulama of ahl us-sunnah, insh'allah, instead of following the whims and desires of your heart.
