There's no way you can go out with drinkers and not drink...that's impossible, it's not like it just happen, the whole purpose of going there is to get drunk, so if you're not going to, you might aswell refuse and not go at all. Imagine the places catches fire and everyone dies in the pub, people aint gonna say she was the designated driver, they gonna be like she died drunk.

I don't do these anymore since I found out that being around it is just as danbi as drinking it but I once went to this corporate event, a rich white dude was buying rounds after rounds and they were all soon wasted, then this french gay guy calls out this scottish one, telling him that he can't hold his liquor...scotsman retors "I'll drink you under the table "...the gay guy, who was not familiar with this expression thought the man was making a pass at him...a little later, the scottish guy gets up and say "who wants to go fer a fockin fag", the sodomite jumps up and say "I do, my place or yours?"

And they say peer pressure at work barely exists? What a load of rubbish! Only if a handful of these alcohol consumers with their dysfunctional kidneys had realised in time they were solely a victim of peer pressure... Only if hey!

I swear I couldn’t care less how weird, odd or strange I appeared to the rest... I just could never bring myself to participate in all those ‘end of month payday events’ throughout all my summer jobs.

Na’aa! My colleagues knew me very well... My Moto: I’ll stick to my own distinct set of personal values and for those who have different values... keep yours but, I am not compromising!

Anyway hope thee is behaving my dear... Sorry, I went off topic as usual.. but you dig what I mean so maha..

Don't worry, if you already don't drink, you will in a very short time and I assure it won't get you anywhere in the corporate world. While these people have been drinking their entire lives and can lead a normal life while consuming large amounts of alcohol, you won't be able to and you will only end up a poor alcoholic.

And I suppose your fortune telling will make you a very wealthy adviser.

Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade sitting at a table where wine is being drunk.

It was narrated that ‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever believes in Allaah and the Last Day, let him not sit at a table where wine is being drunk.”

Narrated by Ahmad, 126; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Irwa’ al-Ghaleel, 7/6.
Highly unnecessary addition to an otherwise sensible post
