Abakar,

The next leader will be an Atheist the way things are going
Somalia is not even united under one leadership, so this question of "secularism" concerning our country is irrelevant.

Voltage wrote:You're very childish for a "grown" individual, especially one who tries very hard to feign a dour constitution. You made a claim. I asked you to provide your evidence from the source and you could not so you attempted a red herring (still attempting it seems).

Of course you have not read the law nor can you discuss it in detail beyond what Western "observers" have remarked was "secular" (keep in mind these are the same observors who call Ayan Hersi a "moderate Muslim") who, because of their own bias (that is to say they ONLY view Islamic law as the kind practiced in Saudi Arabia), misunderstood the law.

The Family Rights Act of Somalia protected women from misuse and had a foundation in Islamic law.

Proof otherwise for your claim.
No, you didn't ask me to provide evidence. You've asked me if I have "studied that law ." I haven't answered the question, yet you "of course" know I "have not read the law." So, your style is morphing from "I know more", "I have studied more" to "I know you didn't do something." No, you're mistaken; the Family Rights Act of Somalia had no foundation in Islamic law. If you have read or studied that law as you claim, you wouldn't engage in a lengthy argument asking me if I have read it. Instead, you would post a copy of the Act and show how it had a foundation in Islamic law. You could also show how it required martyring 10 Muslim scholars to prove it had a foundation in Islamic law.

"To illustrate that oppressive regime’s fight against Islam, I still vividly remember a long, angry speech which Gen. Siad Barre had delivered in the mid-1970s at the Somali capital, Mogadishu’s, old sports stadium. While making publicity for the new secular inheritance law, and vilifying the Somali clerics, he said: “They talk about a half, a fourth, a sixth and an eighth proportion. Waxaas waxba kama jiraan, waana khuraafaad. (This is null and void and it is utter nonsense.)” By this flippant remark he was referring to Allah’s decree, as clearly mentioned in the noble Qur’an, as to how inheritance is supposed to be shared by male and female siblings and even their parents."

So you are in agreement with you have not read the law and are in no position to attribute claims to a piece of law or discourse you have not read?

A warlord who took part in the destruction of Kabul because he could not "control it" after the Soviet withdrawal. Even the anti-Taliban Afghanis I have talked to hate him, along with Hakmeteyr or something like that.

Ahmed Massoud ( Allahu Naxareesto) outmaneuvered the Talibs when through the dark of the night, he entered Kabul and occupied all the strategic areas of the city. It took divisions of the Pakistani SSG/ISI, Taliban, and Al Qaida to remove him out. But being the wise leader, he decided to retreat and spare the city of destruction. When he was alive, the Taliban couldn't dare the territories his people lived. No wonder they call him the Lion of Panjshir

That's a very unnecessary question, since you (through supernatural powers) already have answered the question.

The man knows more than you do. He was alive on that particular year, listened to the speech with his own ears, and perhaps seen it with his own eyes. There's even a recorded audio of the speech, which can be provided upon request.

Fourth Generation Islamic Governance- Sheikhh Tamimi defends the Islamic State of Iraq:

http://www.ctc.usma.edu/publicati/ons/p ... h_Gen4.pdf

US analysis from 2007 on the nature of the ISI and the divisions it created within the jihaddi movement. The fourth generation is an underground state within many states. Many parallels and connections to the situation in Somalia.

If Shariica is defined as beheading Christian murtads, stoning 14 year old rape victims for adultery, and desecrating graves and mosques, I am agin it. I would hate to hear that bombing girls schools had become a religious act in Somalia. Make them define what Shariica is before you accept it.

You're supposedly non-Somali and non-Muslim. Why do you even have to be for or against Shariica of any form? What's your vested interest?
