Reading this analysis makes that professional's opinion stronger. One group is breaking away because of qabiil and to keep the movement going, qabiil has to be used still but this time the greater qabiil serving as the nation and the junior lines as sub-clans. ayagii un baa isku jeedsanayo.NoilPoint wrote:Somaliland is currently running on the Egal recipe, nothing has changed since he died really.
dumb Isaaqs like to blame it on riyoole and gedabuursi, but any sane Somali analyst would understand there is a ' illuminati ' group behind this man.
what professional somalilanders have a problem with is the slow progress and heavy bureaucracy which is signature of Egal doctrine.
very little is done , a lot of money has to be made account for.
Egal was probably so stupid he was gearing up for a instrumented war against HJ right before he died, to continue sitting on the chair.
because this clan was constantly asking for elections back then also in 2001-2002...![]()
wide spread begging of the international community despite being the nr 1 Somali clan with international rescources.
basically hitting the head on the wall ( asking recognition from international community when its clearly made only a unified Mogadishu can recognise first )
currently the ship is basically floating around in this political space with no real captain.
calan cas is always crawling in the shadows of Kulmiye, waiting for the right moment to taste the sweet money and power Hargeisa hides.
Silaanyo knows all this and he has gambled all on the elections coming.
He believes he has good cards by joining forces with Sacad Muusa and 30 % of Samaroon , rest is voting UDUB..
The notion that going to college or growing up in a big city makes one "reer magaal" isn't valid. What an individual learns at college has little to do with how one behaves, morals, virtue, discipline, honesty, kindness, etc, qualities that define "reer magaalnimo." A higher degree or specialized knowledge in genetics doesn't make one "reer magaal." Growing up in a big city equally doesn't make one "reer magaal"; it could be the opposite. Being "reer baadiye" isn't something to be frowned upon or ridiculed. "Reer baadiye" are hardworking people who are generally involved in the business of agriculture, animal resource, marine resource, etc. They learn more and practice religion, family values, centuries-old wise traditions & culture, etc. They live in far less-polluted areas and houses that provide wider space (as opposed to apartment space), eat organic fruits, veggies, (fresh) meat, healthy cuisine (soor, cambuulo, etc) and lead a simplistic lifestyle that's far less-stressed than the lifestyle of "reer magaals." So, when it comes down to whose reer could be less stressed, healthier, happier, family-oriented, more disciplined, less likely to veer from the teachings of religion, less awash in financial debts, etc-- it would be the "reer baadiye."Voltage wrote:But the reer baadiye are the fiercest supporters? I am surprised because lately I have met so many professional reer Waqooyi and they all strike me with the negative views they have on Somaliland go'i'taan. However, the reer baadiye and uneducated ones are the fiercest and most hardcore supporters.
It is kind of similar to the American party system. All the reer Baadiye and country whites are Republican for the most part while the Democrats are pretty much anyone who went to College or grew up in the big cities oo indhaha u furmay.
Has anyone else noticed this pattern?
so Voltage according to this logic, are you saying someone from like beled hawo or garbahaarey is more backward and xenophobic and less enlightened than someone from big city like Hargeisa or Burco ..??Voltage wrote:You listed opinion. Reality is country people are more backward, xenophobic, and less enlightened.
