What if you never want to have kids? I don't want to have my own kids, maybe adopt an Ethiopian kid when I'm like 40...

What was the purpose of getting married if not to have children ? I give the man the benefit of the doubt until he is unable to conceive with wife # 2

who said anything about excluding children from the equation? the timing is the point of discussion huuno...so let's not get it twisted.

marriage is not a single purpose institution to legally procreate as you're making it out to be.....to some its not ONLY about the children but the people who are responsible for bringing those children into the world. laying out a timetable to plan for children is not only essential, but a darn smart move on anyone's part.

I don't want any kids to much needless responsibility besides I don't think I ever want to get married.

According to my mother, Somali's would never put their kids up for adoption, it a big taboo. Thats not the case in Ethiopia and they make the process easier for foreigners

There are a lot of kids who are left orphans by the war, and addopting them would be very beneficial to them.

or they end up becoming Al Shabaab, and you've already established u hate those guys so...

I'm sure if u put ur heart into it, u could set something up in Somalia that would adress that
