A Somali police officer stopped me

Pay the ticket man. You demanded to be let go off the hook and that is why the dude is not sympathize with you. You could have handled it better. In my city they beg Somalis to become cops not because they want us to become part of the community here but because all our little boys and girls are dope dealers and they need someone to bring them down by getting other Somalis to snitch on them. For this reason, I would not trust a cop, Somali or not, and expect favors from them. Just be polite and hope for the best.

as I was speeding past a yellow light. I checked his badge "M. Guled" Now, Guled is a unique Somali name so I started talking to him in Somali.

"Officer maxaan sameeyay?" Fukker answers me in English "You crossed a red light" I am like, "War casaan ma ahayne ninyahow naga daa................ by now he is fumbling with his pocket to reach for a ticket, saying "NO, it was a red light"

I was furious, but then I held myself back................. what if he wasn't Somali? Would I have acted the same? No.

Well, finally he gives me the $60 ticket, but I ain't paying I would rather go to court. And the day I go to court, I will make sure I bring as many Somalis as possible to show them what a fukker he is.

Horta why do umadda Somalida always expect other Somali people on their duty to take it easy on them like they owe you something. Wallahi I never really understood that aspect. Just because ninka Somali buu ahay doesn't justify you to make some sort of negotiation with him lol.

I had the same incident happen to me couple months ago, however the officer was amhara, Good think my cousin spoke the language and sortta aid me in the tribulation, and he let me go with no ticket.

Salaam Luggoyo, I think you should've spoken to him in English, I can see some Somalis are on the assumption that if you speak Somali then your questioning their ethics and morals.
