Correct.

Sanaag is under nobody's jurisdiction, but the age-old Makhiri maamul. It isn't governed by either regional power outside of banal technicalities. This isn't Las Anod, S/Land troops can't set foot in 99% of Makhir without explicit permission.

I wanna go there on holiday now, it sounds good. Would I have to wear a big hijaab? :|
Las Khorey has green mountains to its east known as Cal Madow. The Cal Madow mountain range is considered a world-class exploration area, with a petroleum system identical to and formerly contiguous with those within the Republic of Yemen.
The city boasts white beaches and crystal clear sea water flanked by an abundant reef. When not at the beach, a visitors can also visit coffee shops where khat is available, or an internet café. In addition, there are many hotels and guest houses ready to accommodate tourists.

Crazycatlady let me educate you about Sanaag , there is 3 major tribes who reside there two of them whom being somalilanders and their lands are under somaliland and the other being makhiiri are usually on their own respective territory - in the far eastern sanaag regions such as Badhaan , Las qorey , hope that's clear enough.

the people of sanaag do not hold grudges against each other and they live with eachother peacefully unlike sool.

CCL,

Where? I'll have to edit out those lies. It was probably put in as a joke. The only place you'll find any pro-S/Land sentiment is among the Isaaq minorities in Cerigabo, the rest of Sanaag is strictly for Maakhiri self-determination.

Maakhir is conservative and has been for centuries. Sharia rules the land, alxamdulilah

There's a fledgling tourism industry, which has been rapidly increasing as of late. Aside from Somali, obviously, bilingual (Arabic and English) guides are available. It's a great destination if you do ever consider it.

In July 1, 2007, the state of Maakhir was declared on the area. It claims independence from both Puntland and Somaliland.[6] Maakhir has since been reincorporated into Puntland

That doesn't say anything about hostile Somaliland forces entering Maakhir. BTW, for information's sake, there's a clear difference between claiming territory and having jurisdiction over territory. I can claim half of the world as greater Maakhir today and make a nice little map to go with it, but that means nothing in reality.

Just keep this in mind. People will try to spread lies about Sanaag specifically regarding the governor of Erigabo, false population figures, and as already evidenced doctored maps, but this is all on paper and bears no relevance in the real world.

Woops, wrong link, here it is
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maakhir
On February 25-26 2008, a Somaliland-aligned, well armed force laid siege to Hadaftimo, causing a brief state of emergency before the force withdrew back to western Erigavo. Maakhir authority responded with a military buildup in the Maakhir-controlled part of Erigavo.
Hostilities re-emerged on July 9, 2008, when Somaliland invaded and occupied Laas Qoray port for few hours, under the pretext of a rescue mission (German citizens were allegedly being held hostage in Laas Qoray by pirates).
