My father has been working here since the 60s, because of his work for the country they granted him citizenship. Because my mother married him and back then it was not allowed to have double citizenship (Somali+UAE) I never was a Somali citizen to begin with (even though I was born in Mogadishu as a ''foreign born UAE citizen'').

My parents never liked Siyaad Barre and knew shit would go bad and were prepared, lol.

No offence but I think You're bullshyting

I've been to the khaleej dude and they do not give citizenship to anyone unless You come from one of the local tribes/families. With UAE even harder because they are so small (400,000)

Only Country that gives out citizenship to non citizens in that region is Bahrain and that is only to like PhD's who are Sunni because they want to make sure the Shite population does not overrun the Sunni population.

If it makes you happy, I only have a shitty fake looking Somali passport which you could buy of the black market and have been living here ever since I was a todler with the risk of getting kicked out. I also pay 40,000$ annually to my university with no government aid to attend classes as I am a foreigner.

Is Ma3alaya common in UAE, especially where men take part in the dance? Youtube is full of those videos.

The boy is a pathological liar. Go to your topic about traveling in which he replied to you after you said your fear of Africa:
Holy shit, you really think like that?

Most Jareers are a lot more civilized and docile compared to Somalis. Ivory Coast was the first non-Horn African I've visited and I was in shock when I saw it, the place was light years ahead of the horn. They had skyscrapers there and professional people in suits rushing to their jobs, something you will never see in Somalia
I know BS when I see it.

You need to update your information. There are plenty of Somalis with UAE citizenship. In fact, most Somalis used to turn their noses up at it in the early 70s when it was being handed out for free. I knew at least five people who have it (not to mention their extended families).

Leila,
Macalaya has improved. There was a time when it was ONLY men doing it. Now they have curvy women strutting their stuff instead.
