Poor shirb, if you only knew that Dhair aweis has become an outcast. If he walked into Dhusmeerab where he was born, they would kill him. He's entire clan does not support him, even he's one time most trusted right hand man, Sheikh Indhoadde.

Well that's true, but at the same time no war in Somalia is one-dimensional.

The conflict in the central region has an ideological element (ASWJ vs al-Shabab) but also a Qabiilist element (Murusade vs Habar Gidir) and a regional element (Southern Galgaduud vs Northern Galgaduud).

It's like whenever there's fighting anywhere near Beledweyne. No matter what sides there are, whatever side Xawaadle picks, Ujejeen will pick the other side.

Often it doesn't even have to be real. The mere perception for instance that the UIC was a front for Habar Gidir drummed up a lot of opposition, whereas in reality Habar Gidir have been the most divided qabiil in Somalia since 2006, with brother-against-brother of Shakespearean proportions.
