Typically, when you say logistics,militarily speaking, it means something else. But you are also right, because logistics can also be used to describe military services which would include maintenance of assets. But when you talk of firearms, you simply say "parts." Either way, the maker of FAMAS is France and it shouldn't be hard for Jabuti to get spare-parts for their guns, especially when the French have a base in that country.

Put yourself in the place of a soldier, what would you prefer a FAMAS that is wonderfull , more firepower and light
but is complex or the venerable old AK variety?

With the FAMAS as well all the newer assault guns, they are complex, they have composites and plastics making up thier parts.
You will have a reliability issue with them....
The reason western armies have no problems with them is becuase they are better diciplined..
They clean and maintain thier firearm regularly somtimes even more than once in a day..

does the average djiboutian or ethiopian soldier clean his gun regularly?
no...

and besides with the ak you can drop it in mud, pick it up do a little cleaning and it will work fine.. try doing that with a FAMAS.
and with the AK a black smith in some mountain village in the middle of nowhere like the panshir valley can supply all the spare parts you need, in case it breaks down..

This coming from someone from an oromo who make even made upward of 60% of the soldiers used to invade Somalia and yet cant even free their land. Last i checked we even condemned the invasion and have tried to get peace in Somalia, plus stay out of internal Somali issue's.
