Not really that would require developed observation and analytical skills you just insult people when they point out your ignorant mannerism. One of these days you should sit under the sun that God created and read a book, then when you're done you might be shocked to realise that it didn't turn you into an insecure, brain washed, athiest love

what does reading a book have to do with anything? My problem was with you saying kissing and holding hands is progress, why is that progress? Are you saying showing modesty ( which is important part of islam) by not kissing infront of people is backwards? Thats the problem i have with you

Firewall,

How do you reconcile between calling people "atheist love" and defending Islam?

It fails me how anyone who is on this forum constantly bashing & insulting Somali girls can today be accusing someone of not following proper Islamic manners?

Makes one wonder what really goes up there in that cranium.

Firewall: Where did I say that? I said the bride being present at her own wedding would be progress. The only thing that I think is backwards is calling anything that is not strictly Somali, athiest and western which is where reading a book comes in. Furthermore I don't see anything immodest about holding hands with your wife or kissing her hand or head at the nikaax. If you disagree with that point then that is your opinion but dont twist what I said to prove a baseless point.

hyperactive,

They're obviously conflicted about their beliefs. And this is something I've witnessed with much of today's Somali youth.

They want to eat from both sides of the plate; Islam and their Western values.

But what I can't stand even more is people who are so quick to accuse others of being murtads & kaaffirs just because they have a disagreement with them.

hyperactive,

You're absolutely right, adeer. Its sad because empty rhetoric is replacing more important things in Islam these days. Anyone can claim to be a mujaahid and any 'sheikh' can decide who gets to a be a Muslim and who isn't. Sad state of affairs. Muslimiinta iyaaba isku noqday, when are we ever going to have time for anyone else?

How's everyone doing? Is Sh. Abdul-rasheed still in Doha?
