I think I'll just show my family's journey by picture
Well on first instance it looks kinda stupid for us to be taking a longer route to the border but here's the reason:
The day SNM came into the Hargeisa, the whole city was under curfew from dhuhur time till SNM strode into the city at night. Initially we thought that this clash would just cool over within a few days so we walked to our family's tuulo (ilinta). After a couple of days there we realised that this could take months if not a couple of years so we made the decision to cross the border to dulcad. When we reached abaarso we spent the night there and from what I was told that was one of the worst nights, the whole area was empty except for dozens and dozens of baboons who made us tense the whole night. Funnily enough my family said they were more scared of being caught by faqash soldiers than being attacked by 20 or so baboons.
Anyway long story short, we got to the border in which case we stayed at our 5star accomodation at dulcad (just kidding

) for a month or two we then travelled to dire dawa where we caught the train to djibouti. We stayed for about a year in djibouti with family and then travelled to addis to get our visa then flew out to london.
You can give a somali a passport but he'll still be a refugee
