Will anyone know about it? The only people aware of Somaliland's entire existence are gay British travelers, and they're also the only group of people pushing for the region's recognition.Basra- wrote:Monk aka Voltage

Basra, I don't care about Siad Barre, I'm not for him or even against Somaliland independence. If Somaliland breaks away with all PRO-Somaliland regions I will support it, but they know that they live in a shit hole desert with no resources so they want to force people in Borama and Lascanood to break away with them so they can have farms and minerals.
Like I said, if Somaliland breaks away with Togdheer and Waqoyi Galbeed everyone would support and no one would care for them, but they are trying to break away with regions and populations that are respected by Somalia (reer Sool & reer Awdal).

Monk@lool
Why do u care? Lasanood belongs to isaaq and dhulbahante---correct? So i say---u as a marehaan person, get over it. And please, dont insult my intelligence by argueing u dont care about baaare--we would NOT be having discussion if Baare was not in your foremost thoughts.

Re: Why are you opposed to Somaliland recognition?
This is a JOKE. The idea of the weakest Somali clan in the history of Somali clans to break a country in half is as laughable as a baby attempting to climb MT. Everest
Isaaqland is a bad april fools joke. Visit the place not a single nation would recognize that region because a bunch of khat addicts were victim to Siad Barre.

Whens the last I made a Somaliland topic

Cawrmaale being bigger than Dirta Waaqoyi

Somaliland or shall I rephrase that since SUltan Maxamoud Ali Shire was the supreme King of British Somaliland, Isaaqland is no threat to me. Nor do they attempt to be a threat since they are a piss poor clan.
When Isaaqs do more than April 1st parties every year, and stop getting high off khat than maybe Isaaqland can muster a few pennies and do a better PR job.
Isaaqland, is a bad excuse for a joke.

Look at this simpleton. Voltage you mean to tell us the Isaaq people love qat that much they started a rebel group and helped destroy Somalia?Voltage wrote:I am afraid you are mistaken Lady Basra. SNM rebellion began in 1982 when Siad Barre sought to tax Khat. During that time the Isaaq in the north comprised most of the Somali migrants in the Gulf Arabia but when they came back to Somalia, would use most of the money on Khat...essentially denying the government revenue while chanelling all the productivity of the Somali citizens there straight into Ethiopia's economy (khat grew in Ethiopia and was taxed by the Ethiopian government) supporting it. Abdiwahab's uncle who was Finance Minister at that time, Abdullahi Addow, advised Siad to start taxing Khat and when he did, the Khat barons grew incensed. When Siad Barre stopped by Hargeisa after returning from a meeting in Djibouti with Aptidoon, the khat barons had little children stone the president's envoy which led to reactionary guards opening fire. This was the beginning of the SNM rebellion and essentially of post-colonial Somaliland.Basra- wrote:

No Vo dear, i refuse your well planned point. Had the somaliland separated in the last few years, meaning after the al shabaab coming to 'existance', then i would have said yes---khat must have a perverse reason to the separation. But no--somaliland separated long time ago--during the high ruling days of the moryaans--aideed and co---today the moryaans are a figment of somalia historical imagination. After them came the tfg, then abdulaahi yusuf, and then al shabaab, then the pirates, then the ethiopians, and finally the al shabaab again. While somaliland has consistently remained---S.o.m.a.l.i.l.a.n.d![]()

Ironically---despite the changes of power southern somalia went through--with all the colorful names ---none of them had a name of 'somali' attached to them. Only somaliland---has a name remotely close to somalia--who is more patriotic of somalia do ya think?![]()

You can read about this too in Rukia Oomaar's Human Rights Watch book A Government at War its Own People which examined the SNM rebellion and the Somali State's reaction. Rukia Oomaar is Habar Awal, Isaaq and the sister of Rage Oomaar.

So tell us why is it today we have a democracy with freedom for all its citizens, if we are a bunch qat addicts, whhy is our region the most developed and your the worst.
You see your nonsense is nothing but bedtime stories told to you by bitter folks. Sxb the whole world knows your entire tribe was uprooted from badiye and given lancruiser after being made generals and diplomats, occupations they did not have the qulifications for.
Here is a challange for you Volatge and any other boli-qaran offspring. Bring my a couple of articles to suport your claim that Isaaq's rebeled because of qat and I will bring your prove whilst we worked hard you lived on state hand outs from your abee.
