Im gonna have to correct some incorrect statements made by people who have no knowledge of history.
First to say the Somali people had a a united government before the Europeans, exposes there ignorance of Somali History.
Secondly to claim that we were only clan enclaves, is also incorrect and exposes ur lack of history and low self-esteem.
Historically the Somali population lived under 2 umbrella administrations one in the north and the other in the south, the one in the north was called Adal Emirates and its capital was Harar with other important towns such as Zelac and Berbera.
While the South was ruled by Different Sultanates such Ajuuran and Geledi and the last final adminstation was Sicid Barqash from Omen and he only took over when The Geledi Sultanate was weakened by the Hawyia. This administrations was based around the largest and richest city on the East coast of Africa = Mogadishu
The original Somali land was the north and the South around the 2 rivers was inhabited by Bantu slaves that the Somali people brought to work the land.
Finally I would like to conclude that Somali population had some sort of governance however this type of government never interfered with inter-clan politics and the Somali people had alot of freedom. The emirates in Adal only collected Zakaat and order Jihad when it was powerful enough, however when the Sultan became very weak in the final years of existence in Harar he lost the power to collect Zakaat and order jihad, hence the reason why no somali clan rush to his aid when King Menelik defeated his small band of men and conquered Harar for the first time in HISTORY.

The two islands nearer the coast are also marked as somaliweyn only exception is socotra...
Fight for this if you want a united Somaliweyn focus on the whole, the rest will fall into place. So long as it is all in somali hands no real somali should concern themselves with pointless temperary details.

Cuqdad aside
The same way we are happy to have Djbouti in the hands of somalis like wise we should all just be happy somalis don't loose a single grain of sand to enemies... One man leading somaliweyn or 5 men leading 5 parts of somaliweyn... damn it makes no difference so long as there is a somali incharge... unless the issue has nothing to do with equality and respect or somalinimo and somebody wants it all for themselves.

That area show is inhabited by Somali people. It should be in the intrest of every Somalia to make sure that is the case. Somaliweyn doesn't mean (at least to me) that one government should have complete control over all the regions, but that it only makes sense for one ethnicity to come together to make a federalist kind of union. Your cuqdad is seen in the fact you downplay anything that tries and brings Somalis together. No wonder you support the terrorists.
Cuqdad aside

For Somalia to become a major player, we can't have regions declaring independence. Somaliland needs to be apprehended.

Then you go and do it and do not use the somalinimo card... go and create more bloodshed. You are faced with another 20 years of wars and death and destruction while you at it please teach us all the meaning of cuqdad

Cuqdad is pretending that you're the only clan to be butchered in Somali history. then blaming the rest of Somalia for eternity
