Where are you going to get the manpower and weaponry to do that though?gurey25 wrote:nice ideals but do you have what it takes..?
You will need to be able to fight the addiction of power.
its like heroin , far more addictive than cocaine or methaphetamines..
The moment you take absolute power you will need to start work on building structures and institutions that will take away your power,
and you need to do this before the addiction takes over..
and secondly you will have to be brutal and ruthless, you will need to kill at least 10,000 poeple..
can you do that, can you accept all that blood in your hands.
somalias problems are solvable, but it involves the deaths of tens of thousands....
i know i dont have what it takes..
can you honestly say the same.??

To the answer to Your first question that I would become addicted to power, I'm not doing this for money or for fame, I'm doing it because I feel like I have what it takes to help point Somalia out of its abyss. You have My word I will step down after one term, which I hope by that time Somalia will be stablized. As far as whether I'm willing to be brutal enough, well My compassion will be with the poor, homeless, disadvantaged of our Country. To the criminals, mobs, warlords and their militias, mooryaan, I will first put forth inititives to provide rehabilitation for them, instill a sense of nationalism for them, put them in the Army after long, gruelling, rigorous training where they will not only be hardened soldiers, but diciplined soldiers that protect and serve their population, rather then abusing and robbing them. I will allow opposition, dissident groups, parties that are opposed to mine provided they do so in a peaceful manner and run in elections. If after all this effort, and all these concessions, Anti State elements continue to try to destroy the peace in the Country, I will become ruthless and they will feel the full brunt of our armed forces no matter how many of them have to die.
"Where would your support base come from Murax?
Why should the army commanders, the bureaucrats, the NGO staff, or anyone else for that matter, listen to you?
If you can get that clear, you've got half a chance of succeeding."
Padishah,
My support base would come from a variety of sources. I think the traditional elders of Somalia will apprecaite My enthusiasm respect for them, and zeal to get Somalia back on its feet.
The Army would love Me, because I would lean on them heavily and would use ZERO foreign troop, ONLY Somalis. NGO's, and other Aid agencies might or might not like Me honestly. Reasons they would like Me would be because I would have zero ulterior motives, nor would I be trying to funnel money from them to My Government. They may not like Me though because I would not allow for them to try to destablize Somalia's Aggricultural and by extension Economic situation by flooding the market with Aid at the time of harvest. They would also have to buy as much of their food as possible from local Somali farmers. As far as NGO's in the Education, Health sectors they will be most welcome.
Abdiwahab252,
This is a new Somalia my friend. Clan will become irrelevent under My rule in relation to politics, economics, employment, business. Clan will only be in its proper contexts i.e Times of marriage, resolving of disputes in rural areas, Traditional Elder gatherings and the like

You have to get experience first though. Maybe you should apply for the American jaajuus programme and gain first hand experience on how these people work.

The Tripartite Group rejects your false offers of negotation. We demand free and fair elections, a return to civilian rule and the cessation of state sponsored violence against the Somalinet population.Murax wrote:

Technically you don't have a beef with Murax now but with the E-USC leader Caydiidkadarre wrote:Kadarre E Ali Mahdi has been chosen by the Djibouti Goverment and Cosa Nostra as the people champion. I will not be run over like Kuwait.

Abdiwahab252,
Peaceful opposition will be most welcome. It is up to the Somali people to decide if they wanna move forward, or they wanna move backward. If they want positive change or negative change. If they want unity, people working together as one, or this fanatical partisainship, division along clan lines that has driven Somalia to the ground.
Black Velvet,
Just because I'm coming from America doesn't make me a jaajus. I have a lot of positive things I've learned in America that I can streamline and introduce into Somalia, such as Free Enterprise, Governance, etc. I will leave out the negative aspects of American culture. Best of both worlds
