it doesn't matter whether your are from the north, south, Mogadishu or Hargeisa. in the eyes of the rest of the world, Somali is Somali; they don't give a damn about our tribal differences and they will treat us the same----like it or not. even sometimes Djiboutians claim to be Somalis. i have seen it before and i have no problem with that because they are Somali, too. when you are stranded in Libya or thrown in jail by Kenyan police or suffering from severe drought and you need help, you don't say you are from this b**********clan because you know they are not going to help you. so my suggestion is: don't betray yourself. you are just another poor, skinny, uneducated, ignorant Somali.

of course islamnimo should always come before somalinimo, but unfortunately we don't have both. i don't know what we should consider ourselves.

why can't we just get along with each other and the see the beauty of Somalia in the eyes of all Somalis, not just through your tribe. plz...
