The population of Bari in 1975 was 330,000, same as Galguduud. Bosaso alone has a bigger population than Galguduud today so how can Bari still only be 500,000 when even Qardho the region's second town is bigger than every town in Galguduud?

The above is a PDF file that downloads, just open it and go to Page 12. The UN-HABITAT estimate is 250,000, but the local census-takers in each neighborhood came up with a total of 483,000 including 50,000 IDPs (not 120k like I thought, they must've been assimilated). Funny, there's one neighborhood called Suweeto (Soweto)--- ---luckily its the smallest neighborhood by far.

Somalis always mess up censuses, it is not reliable (have you seen the census results of NE Kenya?). UNDP estimates are far more reliable (trained urban planners work for them after all), this is coming from someone who actually visited the place.

I know for a fact Bossaso is probably one of the very few places Where folks do not care about clan. If I'm not mistaken some wadaad was jailed who was not MJ, and the entire city rioted

^ Those villas are on the outskirts, nowhere near the beach. I think they were around 35K per villa.

Most of them were sold to people from the diaspora, but they have their local relatives live in them while they are abroad much of the year.

I'm not sure. There are 1 and 2-level villas in Hilaac. Below are some photos.

It's best to purchase your own land and a build a villa yourself than getting one from those type of projects. You'll get a lot more space and higher quality for in return.

How so?

Those hilaac villas come with very little space and the building material they used isn't that great.

The best villas in Bosaso are those build individually.
