I am surprised by all the people with the reer Koonfur accent. I thought a good majority of the people in Ottawa were Djiboutian.

Re: A Really Shinning Somali Forehead
^ They live here in large enough numbers but waa laga badanyahay, and it's not even close. I've lived here for over 20 yrs and there's over twice as much non-Djiboutis as there are Djiboutis.
Besides, there's like 9-10 people who spoke at length in the video...that's not enough of a sample size to compile demographic data on a city with an ethnic Somali population of over 30,000 people.

I didn't know there were that many Somalis in Ottawa. Would say there are more Somalis there than the Lebanese or is it the other way?

Re: A Really Shinning Somali Forehead
Put it this way, I read in the paper here in an article about the famine that Somalis are the largest African minority in Ottawa and also in all of Canada. As for the Lebanese, it's hard to say, I don't know their exact population here but I know a recent Census put Somalis at roughly 25,000 but unofficial estimates say closer to 30,000+ (it's probably more since u know dad baa la qariyaa
). I wouldn't be surprised if Lebs were that many or even more, since they're easily the largest Arab minority here and those juiceheads seem to be everywhere
