A nuclear powered arab country would behave like pakistan , another nuclear powered country.

Well, we had all better hope that Al Qaeda does not get ahold of a nuke. Because if they did, and if they used it, that would certainly let the genie out of the bottle. And once the fockers out, you can't put him back in. And none of us want to go there.

They're not THAT stupid. A nuclear war would be bad for the US. But AQ couldn't deliver much in the way of nuclear weapons. The US can literally target any city it wants and an hour latter, that city is gone. Only a handful of countries can do that with the US, and none of them are Muslim.

The problem with this question is how do you define power? Are we talking about military power? Are we talking about economic power? Are we talking about soft power, the ability to influence. Taken in the aggragate I would have to say Malaysia. Iran also has power, but let's face it, if you are not a Muslim Iran is generally regarded in a negative light, which means it has no effective soft power. In terms of global influence I would have to say Malaysia.
