The Moroccan dress is culturally indigenous to their region, you can't just deculturalize it and make it Islamic :?

It made its introduction in the refugee camps, hence the cheap material... Then the diaspora slowly started adopting it.

Im glad the younger ones are not wearing that, unless they are freshies. Women under 30 seem to have better dress sense, and yet still have modesty. Hopefully this tent jilbaab will disappear for good when the current 30 year old ladies turn 50.

why are people saying they wanna see it disappear  The jilbaab is regarded as the most appropriate hijab that should be worn by muslim women. I myself don't wear it but i know allot of religious sisters who do , So people please lets not loose whats left of our Deen and dhaqan, its sad to see somalis thinking like this. It may not be attractive but that's the whole Point !!

Off-topic: You know before I came to the west I was convinced all Somali girls had soft wavy hair wallahi because that is how my sisters and mothers hair were. Boy was I in for a shock because when I came to the west and I saw more and more girls without a head scarf it became apparent to me most Somali girls are as jareer as the next African congoid female.

Sad to see that the majority of people on this thread do not know what hijab is. A headscarf is NOT a hijab, tigh abaaya is NOT a hijab and defeats all its purpose. Babygirl don't fool yourself the first pic isn't related to hijab, on the 2nd the girl wears 12 kgs of make up on her face, 3rd pic is the only hijab in there.
It's mostly older Somali Women who wear that style of hijab, the young religious ones wear a jilbaab/big abaaya  not that tight stuff insult.
