Somebody doesn't like the "F" word.

It's not even about liking or disliking the "Faqash" word but when your a fanaan/abwaan etc ur supposed to be a professional and conduct urself in a respectable manner. You can still be qabiileeste behind close doors and sh!t waa caadi.

Abukeer, just because u come from a sick family does not mean all Somalis are qabiileestayaal, actually I would say most are not.

Faqash is "supposed" to mean government troops, but really means Darod.

Like Qurmis was "supposed" to mean SNM members but meant Isaaq

and Mahbar was "supposed" to mean SSDF members but meant Majerten

and Mooryaan was "supposed" to mean USC members but meant Hawiye

faqash does not mean darood it means those who were loyal to the kacaan and took part on the siege of the isaaq populated cities in the north,stop actin like your being targeted,heck even the dir members in the kacaan (samatar) were called faqash.

It depends what you mean though.

Ofcourse people are always gonna be partial to their qabiil but that doesnt mean they cross the line, in my experience the only openly qabiileestayaal I met showed signs of mental illnesses, the rest of the people know how to conduct themselves.

Point is that the woqoyi ppl, especially when they started to get oppressed, regarded the Somali government as a Darod entity. That's why woqoyi ppl generally mean Darod when they say faqash and that's a fact. There's a case to be made that the general woqoyi population hijacked the f-word from the SNM who in the very early period of this rebel group solely meant MSB and all his supporters with it. But fact remains that especially nowadays anc even as early as the mid 80s, faqash became synonymous with Darod. Which is fine, a lot of fuked up shit happened so emotions are high and you can't expect ppl to stay rational and balanced.
