Nabeela please keep telling terrible stories about Saudi Arabia. I need to remember why I dislike Arabs.

Saudi Arabia, a proud Sunni Muslim nation
It is generally understood the best, most generous, and the bravest Muslims are all found in Xijaaz (currently Saudi Arabia).

Re: Hello from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
The people treat me very nice and they dont know Im from the West. I've been praying behind Shaykh Adel Kalbani, the former Imam of Masjid al Haram in Makkah. He has his own Masjid in Riyadh. Also, there is Shaykh Muhaamad Luhaidan.grandpakhalif wrote:Awdal Prince I have a few questions?
Do the people treat you nice? Are the Imaams of the masajids approachable? Is there a strong Islamic presence?
overall thanks for the report,
I've also met Shaykh Abu Bakr Shatri, he is an Imam of a Masjid in Jeddah called Masjid al Furqaan. He is the coolest Imam I've met so far, he is a comdian, he'll have you laughing for dyas with his jokes, this is the Imam in his masjid:

The people from RIyadh and Jeddah are very different. Hijazis are educated, advanced and progressive whilst the people from Riyadh are ultra conservatives. The people from Riyadh are he ones who dictate everything and truly they oppress others.udun wrote:Saudi Arabia, a proud Sunni Muslim nation![]()

Sarax I grew in Emaarat too, but it is very different from Saudia trust me. Your post is veyr much applicable to life in the UAE and I agree with it, but Saudi is different. Although if you get lucky and score a job with a big multinational or one of the bigger schools you are set, other than that life isn't peaches and cream. There are a lot of people struggling in Saudia and its a big country, so there is differences between how hospitable people are by region. I found people in Jeddah were much better than those in Riyadh. The special treatment in Saudi is also segmented and depends who you are. Although its easier to get a job as a Saudi, having the passport isnt a gateway to a chilling life as it is in the UAE.
As for the first post, I dunno how you can reach half these conclusions when you haven't lived there for any substantial amount of time. Im not gonna say all Saudis are evil, but your clearly starstruck and tryna glorify the placeThe gay ish is definitely true, of course your not gonna notice it openly its very DL, but if you went to any public schools or spoke to people who taught there they'd confirm it right away.
The race of Saudis varies, Saudis are a confederation of tons of tribes who lived in the region plus they have many naturalized Saudis who come from all over the Arab world and even outside it including Africa and Asia. There are a lot of black Saudis of African descent, and they dont exactly get treated on the same scale as the "original" Saudis from the bigger tribes.
I was only speaking of my experience and a bit of balancing in here would do.I am aware of the differences between life in Saudi and the other smaller gulf countries, the wealth in Saudi isnt as distributed as it is in the Emirates or Kuwait and you have a much wider economic inequality. With regards to hospitality, lets be honest, it is part of these people's culture as it is in Somalis, sure Jeddah is more so than the southern more tribal regions, agree. The Somali pop. in Saudi is way larger and I have heard of their more difficult living conditions, sort of secluded xaafado that very poor.
And yes I have read about there issues with regards to the sexual deviancies in schools and whatnot , the difficulties many women face, they are there. Ma waxan idhi ma laha mashakilkanAs you can see, the thread has already confirmed it with videos and evidences.
Dont worry, wallahi I am aware of all this, but I just like my old home
You misunderstood me when I said first post I was referring to the threadstarter not you, I know you are aware and I agreed with your post as far as the UAE goes
