Alpha, I'd much more appreciate your opinions rather than your observations.

Limitations in both scientific and religious knowledge result in my opinion being worthless, in comparison to vast amount of information and opinions provided by scholars in both fields.

Limitations in knowledge has never stopped people from giving their opinions.

But when my bio teacher stood in front of a group of 16yos and declared that no religious text is worthy of being upheld as proof and can be confirmed to be without alterations, during our unit in evolutionary theory and natural selection, who happened to be one of the authors of the district standard textbook, my opinion on scientists, though not science, had been sealed.

So you dislike scientists because your biology teacher said he would teach science and not religion in his government funded secular science class?

I'm not willing to kowtow to their views. Call it religious zealotry, pride, arrogance, or simply ignorance, but I feel scientific evidence, regardless of empirical value, shouldn't be shoved down the throats of impressionable children. These are the same people who claim that all should be open minded and accepting of everyone, yet jump at anyone who suggests a system of beliefs that counters their own.
