Sometimes the families need help. And sometimes it is not the parents fault at all. Society and other pull factors are just too strong for some modern families from disadvantaged background. Anyway, this is a really complex issue, not something snet simpletons can really discuss with serious weight.

Nowadays getting locked up is the norm. You probably know a few felons and Don't even know it. Everyone has that 1 family member or friend(s) who did 1-4!

People made mistakes! They served time for it and it's sad because they're not even allowed to rent.

Either that^ or once the drugs and alcohol wore off and they realised what a terrible thing they did and that they have to live for the rest of their lives with the murderer label they just decided to end their lives.

Rape rarely happens in those prisons.

Prisoners commit suicide for other reasons. You hear of someone who had 5 months sentence top themselves for no other reason than he couldn't handle the four walls and his thoughts for company; or they just received a 'Dear John' letter, or they were getting bullied, or problems on the outside (famillies) got to them.

if their parents would stop feeding them haram food, then they might have a chance of turning their lives around.

you can't expect you children to do well in school, become law-abiding and contributing citizen while everything you do has to do with cheating the welfare system and lying to the government. kids who are raised in such homes would never be good citizens, period.

they all would end up in prisons and in the streets---and that's if they don't get killed before their 21st birthday.

the bottom line is, parents need to change their ways of live completely and must know that only them can be good role models for their kids. whatever they do, their kids will also do.

so lets not blame the kids and blame the parents for neglecting and abandoning their responsibilities. the majority of these parents wouldn't even admit their children need help or that they have problems, much less about anything else.

Whats with the smiley dusty you think its a good thing to be in jail?
Making money does not justify commiting crime; instead of selling drugs these youths need to actually build their life by having an education and a career.
Also what do you do if you dont mind me asking?

I think i understand why so many youths get into a crime. Its not just an issue of being raised badly, i think its also their environs. These youths outside their parental control (school, friends) become attracted to a gang culture. Now this also afflicts down to earth good people not just those who psychologically have an inclination to be violent or a bully. Gang culture is a mindset that predates every aspect of the mind and character. Now what drives them is that it makes them feel like their something and their role models/person they wish to equal are all the leaders and those characters of the media that symbolise the culture. I was watching this gang repatriation show earlier and one of the youths said they "wish to be someone", that stricked a chord with me because i could heavily relate to that. We all (nearly) aspire to be something important; you notice this when you watch videos and see people that have achieved higly (this causes you to self reflect), no one wants to be insignificant and useless, some are driven by a job and satisfy it through education, others practising and training. For this reason most of us strive to self improve somehow. This drive is strong because it comes from the 'heart' and it can be all enveleping of a person mind and can become a system or a philosophy. For instance if you go gym you notice you change psycholigically in every way, as in you become more confident around people (bigger or smaller) allowing you to express yourself better, also you may become more dominant in relationship, your aspirations may change, and many more. I believe this is healthy because it improves the person mentaly and physically.

Gang culture is both a system that envelops the mind and character, its also a way of life. This is the crux because people can become dependant on this alternate way. It includes money, entertainment, relationship. It covers everything in a persons life. As these gang members grow olders you notice they enter a criminal enterprise and we see it in Mafia, Yakuza who deal with prostitution and unlawful labour. Gang culture on the other hand has no benefits, these youth who want to becomen something, actually regress and become backwards.
