When I was there Amina Siyaad Barre was claiming land at Ceelsha biyaha. She better not try claim Jamcada beeraha or Laafole University Land. And I hope the government are not corrupted enough to turn another eye, because someone needs to tell these FOOLS, that's another basis for a CIVIL WAR!

No offense but no USC has ever compared the two in legitimate discussions and no one can make the same comparison in legitimate discussions. For those of you having a hard time understanding what false equivalence means:

False Equivalence is a logical fallacy which describes a situation where there is a logical and apparent equivalence, but when in fact there is none.

Those who are still carrying USC mind want to make a logical comparison when in fact there is none.

During Siad's time, the two richest men in Somalia were Jirde Hussein and Uunlaaye; Isaaq and Majerten respectively. You had Xiirey Qaasim (Murusade) controlling factories, etc. Individuals can make the claim that injustice happened to them because of clan, but what compares with the total, and absolute looting of Darod properties in Mogadishu in 1991?

There is no argument that you can make that compares and every legitimate entity to take power in Mogadishu has realized it from the ICU to the new edicts being planned to retake looted properties.

Ultimately, everyone deserves justice and if there were people that were treated wrongly before 1991, they too deserve justice but in the scheme of things the total, and absolute looting of Darod properties that happened along with that amount of destruction of life and wealth is the biggest elephant in the story of property reallocation in Mogadishu and everyone who is a Somali knows it.

Mark my words, if you think the push by a single community of this clan is too great in the political process of Somalia now, wait until the post-transition looms closer and we pass that hurdle and the entire community and those who value justice are able to partake more in the discussion; 1991 looting will be addressed in a massive scale. The security arrangements of Mogadishu are such today and tomorrow, it will never resemble the warlord era. Today Osman Aato can only sit infront of the parliament doors while AMISOM troops block it and Qaybdiid can only find safety in south Gaalkacyo.

The era of warlordism in Mogadishu is over. The era of armed clans is over. The era of a government being sensitive to the ires and wishes of clan militias in Mogadishu is over. The entire premise of AMISOM is not only to resist Al Shabaab but totally remove the security arrangements of Mogadishu out of the hands of clans and this is something some of us have known for sometime.

These issues will come back full circle to be addressed.

I'm not saying that, those who can prove their point etc, should go for it, for others it was a done deed, and there is nothing that can be done.
