waryaa I personally have been affected by Dhiigshiil, did you know they ordered Al shabab to ban a fierce competitor, Zaad, which had technology to revolutionize the xawaalad industry, you guessed it they banned mobile money technology which many people lost money especially in Kismaayo.

In RAND Report, an American Think Tank, on Radical Islam in East Africa the authors wrote, "In mid-2006, Sheikh Ali Warsame, the founder of AIAI (who is based in Bur’o, Somaliland), reportedly sent $250,000 to the courts." this means the money was sent to Al Shabaab and perhaps through Dahabshiil. Thus, Dahabshiil is suspected to be the financier and lifeline of logistics and money movement in and out for Al Shabaab.

Don't get me wrong. I overall like Dahabshil. Their service has been great and very reliable. I got to meet some of their senior reps and these guys are light years ahead of the other ones. I tried going down the TOLKA route and sent money through Hodan Global & wow, sorry arse experience.

Another company that I real like is Golis. They have extremely competitive rates and are very reliable.

I always support any Somali business that is reliable and efficient.
