A few observations on the vid:
- I don't buy the coercion claims. When you have a crowd the size of a small village enthusiatically chanting "Melez ma dhimanin" while waving the cursed flag of the Xabash , there is no coercion, at gunpoint or otherwise. Them niggaz want to be there.
-I think it's about time we've come to grips with this reality: Dhabodhilif'nimo has gone mainstream among Somalis. No longer is it something to be ashamed of. Right here on Somalinet, I would guestimate that a plurality of snetters(if not an outright majority) are bona fide dhabodhilifs. Some call for Somalia to be turned into a UN trusteeship. Others call Ethiopia/Amisom "our African brothers". So why be suprised at poverty-stricken villagers who are hoping the junta in Addis will throw them a few more crumbs?
When the leadership of Al-Ictisaam is sending tacsi to Marxoomka Meles, gacan-ka-xaq-daran dishay , you know dhabodhilif'nimo has gone mainstream.
Midrigeez,
One thing I respect about Eritrieans: they are the proudest people on Earth. Yes, they may be drowning in seas or dying of thirst in the desert of Sinan, but don't ever refer to an Eriterian as an Ethiopian. I learned that the hard way and got a 10 min lecture on the 30 year war of indepedence.
Eritreans = mad respect
You will never find an Eriterian grovelling to the Ethiopian junta in Addis.

Re: Video: Somali Ethiopian Love for MELEZ
There are a few problems the Somalis in the Ogaden region are facing one is not the ability to fight against the Ethiopian occupiers its the means they need. They know where they are heading but the leadership is missing despite the ONLF fighting for the independence of the region there is no long term plan to achieve that or a plan if there is a power vacuum.
As for the people running on the streets in jigjiga its not becaue of love some maybe some do it because they are paid to do that and Some just do it because they dont know better. When was the last time a Somali leader spoke for the Ogaden region whether its Djibouti Somaliland or Somalia its been decades
Somalis in the Ogaden region are not different than the other Somalis they are divided as the rest in the horn of african Somalis.
some who believe in larger autonomy some who want independence some who want to lead Ethiopia.
There is no common Ogaden identity another problem i am refering to the region Ogaden nationalism. During the Somali republic war with the Ethiopians it was a pan Somalism war against Ethiopia. And even back then we made some mistakes we should've just supported the rebels fighting against Ethiopia instead of letting the army of the Somali republic into the ogaden dessert. Fighting for self determination for the Somalis in the ogaden should
've been the goal for us but that didnt happen the leaders at that time made some mistakes.
Eritreans are a whole different case the Eritreans since ancient times had shared kingdoms with the Ethiopians during the aksumite Empire The Eritreans led some of those kingdoms in first few centuries after christ. The Eritreans played a role in the shape of how Ethiopia was about to be evolved. So they know the Ethiopians the best and know how to take back what belonged to them. during their war for independence there was some sort of Eritrean nationalism which united them and keeps them united till the day of today despite having different tribal origins.

How could we??? we value the Eritreans and somali Lives that were lost because of his Ego much more than him going to jahanam. Eritreans are happy about it and ethiopians don't understand how could we not be sad?? we are just sad to see people who meles killed mourning his death, foremost it is the respect and love we show to eritreans families who had their son/daughter/father/mother/sister or brother who died as a result of meles agression towards eritrea, I just didn't expect some somali to be on camera like this, it must be hurtful to their somali brothers and sisters who lost someone to this shaytan. We hoped he would be hanged as this death is way too light on Legesse zenawi the coward habesh.

herndonhomer wrote:@farhancab you talk about a freedom movement for onlf. are you saying ogaden become its own country?that will be the most damned country in teh universe with absolutely no educated people.

Do you know that the newest nation on earth (south sudan) and the 3000 years old nation( Ethiopia) has almost same literacy rate? What does this tells you, waryaa?!
Moreover, do you know that 99% of Ogaden citizens can either read or write Arabic since they learn in Maderasa, not to mention that the only university on the earth that gives in the faculty of language, Somali in bachelor's degree level is in Ogaden. Most highly educated Somalis are always from Ogaden, like Sh.Ali Suufi. Those students from Somalia who recently were given scholarship programs by Iley's admin would educate on this topic.
That aside,my full energy is on how to make Ogadenia an independent country, and there is no one( except Allah) who could stop us from doing that. Higher literacy rate, better life expectancy and healthy life , or white villas, decent cars, fat camels and other luxuries will come after resolving the conflict between Ogaden and Ethiopia. You got beef with that?
