I have no vision for a federal system, well except for failure.

the reality is Somalia is now a federal republic.
People have to accept it and move on.
The hawiyes who are objecting to Jubbaland are powerless to act.

Federalism in Somalia? Sure. Why don't the two Jubbas, Gedo and Bay & Bakool join? No? Why not? That's not what you want? Oh, so you want your own clan to have its own federal state
The truth is people on Somalinet don't care for federalism. All they care for is that their clan gets its own federal state for obvious reasons. They want their own clan country within a country and if it were up to them, they would have seceded from the nation a long time ago. No I am not wrong. It's true. People care more about their clan than their country.
That is why I am 110% against federalism in Somalia even though I am 110% for federalism in the country I live.
Examples of federal states:
Bay, Bakool and Gedo
Lower Shabelle, Middle Shabelle, Lower Jubba, Middle Jubba

The local people of every region have the right to come together and form a regional state. This is guaranteed in the constitution, its not something dreamed up on snet.
I support the peoples right to form their own administration for Jubbaland.
Its a question of democracy

Take your monkey business out of here
there is nothing wrong with states being formed under the principles of qabiil, given there is consent
Why would people share a federal state when they don't agree with each other
the people of shabellada dexe and the people of lower juba have nothing in common, whether cultural interaction, economic interaction or basic shared interest
The people of gedo and jubada hoose share a culture, economic interest and they have a better political cohesion
the people of gedo are not facing north, they are facing east and south and the people of jubada hoose are facing west and south and not north, just study the interaction between reer barawe and reer kismaayo and you will see that there is a berlin wall type of arrangement(voluntarily)
Federalism is reality and its conventual wisdom now and those people that agree with eatch other shall share a mammul and people can`t be forced into unworkable arrangement.
A marexaan and ogadeen might disagree but fundamentally they both want to the same jubaland arrangement which consist 3 region forming jubaland
Your logic is that germney and Holland should share a state because they are both Germanic people. Nonsense and borderline uga buga
what you want to have in somalia is a austro hungarian empire type setting, that only leads to squabbles and eventual demise

Great post, glad someone else sees the real reasons some want federalism. It's not just in Snet though, imagine those who came up with this Federal system were thinking... Yeah those bright and nationalist folks who take care of Somalia.

Questioning the federal constitution is futile. It has already been ratified into law.
Why is it the hawiye want to dictate to the regions, when they dont even control their own degans?
Jubbaland will soon be a reality......watch this space niggas

Well I'm speaking as an individual, I don't speak for Hawiye. Also, this isn't about being for or against Jubbaland, merely the implementation of a federal system in Somalia.

I have my doubts about federalism but I think the alternatives are much worse.

listen Cruella, federalism is the law of the land now, you have as much chance of changing it peacefully as you have of dissolving the UN
if you don't want federalism then prepare for war and the final blow to somali unity and common government
I know why you hawiye hate federalism because you did your calculation and you see where the power is tilting,,thats right, daarood power will be disproportional, they would be what germany is to EU

You don`t speak for hawiye, yet you reflect their rejectionist sentiments.
Jubbaland will be made up of all the clans living within the state lines.
I would like to invite you to kismayo in the future, to see how well we are progressing insha`llah.

I'm just putting my opinion out there, and again as an individual, Hawiyhan aad iga dabawatid bal iga jooji. Easy for you to say lets go to war as you are shamelessly advocating for war from the comfort of your low income western home

I don't want to go to war, I'm in America and in the comfort of my home. Its a little unfair for us to be encouraging war dont you think? Anyway, this system does little to effect my everyday life.
