1/ Let's not jump the gun
2/ Let not the daarod pollute the debate as they contaminate everything else concerning the somalis
Our goal , as somalis from Somaliland , is to wish the best for the other somalis . However they are not there yet . 2 things . Either we will be respected for who we are { I cannot at this point neither stand for or accept a Somaliland president sitting in a conference about Somalia as a mere regional gov } or I fear the worst .
May God save us from madness , everything concerning Somalia ends up in complete madness .
I like it when Cameron says {paraphrasing}
unresolved political grievances are at times the root of the problem
The brits are doing the bid for the " yanks" here and their job is to bring us in
Like I said before , if at the end of the day we have to lose some of our ego for the rst of the zoomalis to live , I got no problem with it , but there is a limit to everything .
If Allah swt were to tell me , "go back to Somalia now " , I would reply " not yet , not yet ...with your permission"

Simplyserene let me address londonlad here and you will understand .
Londonlad , my brother , I have been thinking about what you've posted here . First of all let me tell you that anytime Somaliland and Somalia are put in the same sentence it automatically makes me nervous for the same reason it does you .
Now let's be practical as opposed to idealistic here for a minute . Left to their own devices the somalis in Somalia have made themselves synonymous with , utter lawlessness, warlordism, terrorism , piracy , famine .
Subsequently the whole world has come to Somalia's rescue , some with their monies , some payed with their blood {our african brothers} ,others with technical advise , etc..ect. It @#!*% me off a great deal that despite everything we 've tried Somaliland hasn't gotten the recognition we've sought for 20 years , but short of becoming a terrorist there is nothing I can do it about it , wallahi , you just don't get everything you wish for in this life , which in itself doesn't mean you shouldn't try . Now coming back to Somalia, the fact to the matter is we're their next of kin . When the whole world is coming to their aid , we just cannot sit back and say " we don't give a fu,ck " , it is immature , irresponsible and doesn't frankly make any sense , if you let go of your ego here for a minute
Now we should aim for 2 realistic goals in my opinion . Time and respect .
Respect : We've managed to stay out trouble for 20 years , which in our neighbourhood is no small accomplishment .WE will decide WHEN we're ready to have the proper talks about a potential /hypothetical re-unification with Somalia IF we see it fit .
Time: The majority of the youth of Somaliland do not know anything about Somalia which they viewed as a quasi enemy .Somaliland and the Isaaq in particular are a democratic nation/community . The biggest problem I have with the Silanyo administration is their inability to engage/talk with the youth in particular which leaves the impression that they're conducting some secretive backroom deals with their british friends { maybe mr William Hague should instead of anything else tweet them a list of the most reputable real estate agents in London , because they're getting on my nerves as well }
With time as Somalia gets its house in order { because they do not really have any other option but the multi tribal / federal route} I am convinced that your sentiment as well the ones of the many Somalilander youth will improve .
Do not let the couple of daarods here or anywhere else { who frankly come from the most pathetic background} get in your head .

Subxana allah...somebody should restrain this creature from hurting herself..
Giving it time? What if it takes 25, 50 maybe 100 years for Somalia to get its act together? That could mean slower growth for Somaliland or Somaliland can even risk becoming chaotic like Somalia. giving all this time seems like a huge gamble on people lives. Especially the youth that deserve more
