Maybe this is why he failed. He was talking and thinking about Iran, Syria and Ethiopia for example; when Egypt has more pressing issues like poverty, overpopulation, corrupt, social decay and economic stagnation.

Great point. He was too preoccupied with Syria when he should have focused on his own mess of a country. But still I do feel very sorry for him and for the state of Egypt today.
