You haven't really answered my question, you haven't told me how the FIRST Somalis came to be, all you said was the land, the weather and whatnot shaped our physical features. I kind of knew I was in for one crazy read when the first sentence I read was "the original home of ALL Somalis is Zaylac" well you know what they say, "if you can't dazzle them with brilliance baffle them with bullshit" so thank you sxb, that was quite something. I wouldn't be surprised if you said "God created man, jinn, and then Somalis."Belew wrote:AgentOfChaos wrote:
Who did Somalis descend from though, or did we just appear out of nowhere and have been here since the beginning of time?![]()
The original homeland of Somalis is Zeila. But if we go further back into time, the original homeland of Cushitic speakers was the Horn of Africa highlands. All nomadic peoples (Afars, Sahos, Somalis, etc) today in the region have their origins in the Horn of Africa highlands. It is from these highlands that has shaped our phenotype. When certain Cushitic speaking groups migrated to the lowlands, they became taller than their counterparts in the highlands. The cold weather of the highlands made the people adapt and grow shorter limps to conserve body heat. Because the lowlands and coastline of Somalia is hotter, the cushitic speakers there adapted longer limps to cool off their bodies, hence becoming a bit taller. This is why the Dinka people of South Sudan are among the world's tallest people. Of course, diet plays a big factor, too.

I feel so sorry for Somalis like you (and I say that from the bottom of my heart Wallahi billahi).ZubeirAwal wrote:They want you to think what your family has held to is ridiculous, and to succumb to the disgusting and both beautiful world we live in today , which is rotting at its core.

Isaaq people from different sub-clans such as HA & HY don't even share a single Y-chromosome!(meaning they don't have the same paternal line) let alone them descending from a single non-Somali paternal ancestor smh!
Somali Qabiils are nothing more than confederations of different people (and that's true for all Somali clans today).

Re: We are not mixed, this is how we always looked
There are several interesting points I'd like to mention, 1 , less than 100 isaaqs out of 1million+ took a dna test, 2, two arab ahlul baytis, one in Morocco and the other in the Emirates, had the same DNA haplotype as your general Somali. What does this mean? No one knows for sure what DNA the prophet possesed, but banu hashim like the rest of quraish, was a confederation that consisted of several tribes, and thirdly, I didn't take a DNA test
, just because a handful of HA's did doesn't mean I share the same DNA as them since their are thousands of us. Acapiche?

If two "Ahlul Bayts" shared the same haplotypes as Somalis, their fathers need to get on Maury asap.

To that I say F**k your DNA
Re: We are not mixed, this is how we always looked
There is no need for thousands to take a test. Even a number as low as five people of very different sub-clans of the same qabiil could usually be enough.
If for example let say five unrelated Gadabuursis of different sub-clans (and I'm just making this up to use as an example) turn out to be haplogroup J1 it would mean for definite that that clan on average paternally belong to haplogroup J1.
The reason for this is because it would take a whole lot of coincidence for THAT not to be true.
Don't worry though, in the future knowing things like your Y-chromosome will be as common as knowing your blood type. I wonder how people like you would deal with this though

I find it hilarious that folks who don't count their names are the ones who are agitated the most when I remind them of my ancestral bond to the prophet, deal with it mate, if I was wrong, God almighty would have shown me by now, instead he has blessed me with the visit of the prophet in my dreams.
Chinaman, to each his own sxb, with the prophet visiting in a dream, this verified my lineage to him

It's a unbreakable bond, and when I was honoured by his spritual presence, nothing can change my view on my lineage.
Call me a majnuun or whatever you like, Zubeir Awal Al Husseini is the 43rd grandson of Fatima and Ali (Karamullahi cala wajhuma)

I have an abtirsi, I just don't believe in its veracity past a certain point. It's no coincidence that Darood, Hawiye, Isaaq, and Dir were all near-contemporaries.ZubeirAwal wrote:Based wrote:If two "Ahlul Bayts" shared the same haplotypes as Somalis, their fathers need to get on Maury asap.

Re: We are not mixed, this is how we always looked
Documented manuscripts contain that the sheikh isaaq passed away somewhere in 1320's or 30's AD, I recommend you speak to gurey25 bout this, he knows alot.
And why are you laughing? Are you ignorant? Dreams from Allah are 1/46 parts of prophethood, so the importance within dreams like the prophet visiting you should be valued and not ridiculed, shame on you.

Zubeir we get it now, can you bless me with some of your saliva? And maybe more if you feel generous?
