The suugo should be ready when the potatoes are soft. Lower the heat. Add salt. Taste! Keep stirring so it doesn't get stuck on the bottom of the pot/burn.
Did you add tomato paste/sauce?

It actually turned out OK and I am going to eat it with some Baasto in a couple of minutes. I shouldn't have panicked and added too much salt.

But other than that, I am proud of my freakish creation. It isn't great but it is alright, I suppose.
Lillaahiya, I added tomatoes that I mushied in the food processor. I didn't add the puree thing because I don't have it and maybe that's why my suugo looks orangish-yellow. Also, I skimmed a shit load of oil from the top. Sigh but it is OK.

I didn't have it and I didn't think it was this important.

Why is it so important? Dammnit man. I will buy all the ingredients tomorrow and try again. I will also add mushrooms.

Ok, shit was really bad folks. The Baasto turned out uncooked and the suugo was like water and salt with undercooked potatoes. I gave up and now I am boiling two eggs. Thanks Lillahiya but I will try it again.
