I like to study the law especially torts. I love to go to court and watch cases during my lunch breaks.

Its good. There's just way too much going on, at least at the beginning, imo. I love the cultures and nonverbal languages. Would love to see the scouts in a movie. The history is nice as well, once you get it all in order. It ain't anything Tolkien or Martin, but it's still good.

I've been trying to keep up with my hobbies recently, but it's not as easy as I would have thought.. Managed to finish reading Dune again, and it was still :lawd:

. Been trying to play some more games as I haven't done that in a while, but it gets hard trying to find time when my brother and I are both free. Plus, it's hard to choose which one at the moment. Bought the Metroid Trilogy recently and a few others, but I barely started any even though I was on holiday, sigh. Music tho, going back to school means I have more time to listen so I guess it's a reasonably fair tradeoff

PO, have you watched the miniseries/movie? Had it downloaded a few years ago but forgot to watch it. Managed to dig it up this summer (it's on yt as well) and it was just awful. Almost unwatchable

I tried watching the first movie from the 70's or something, I couldn't stand how the harkonens looked and when they put on their shields. Honestly first time I got exposed to Dune was over 10 years ago, as a kid I watched the miniseries or part of it and it looked so cool, desert environment, people drinking water from dead bodies, blue eyes, though I don't think I finished it. So last year I saw the book and I was like I loved that show, I read the book. Then decided to see the show, and it was so awful, I couldn't watch it, I don't know what I saw as a kid.

Yeah, the acting was horrible, and they completely butchered Paul's character, making him out to be some petulant little shit. Not to mention the cringeworthy SFX...I bet the Lynch movie from the 80's had better effects

It's cringe worthy sxb and they do the narrations to read thoughts and keep the internal dialog, not to mention how awful the fremen look and their weopens. smh not for this generation

I loved the way they pronounced Muad'Dib "Maahdeeb". For half the movie I was thinking to myself why do they keep talking about the Mahdi?
