Who cares? As long as the somali Govt doesn't care about the north is the best for us. No recognition though.

the man who was behind the talks is the djaboutian president omar geele, its him who asked this in london conference than he made some arrangements in djibouti under the banner of somali culture

President hassan respects djibouti and geele but the govt seems now they regret about the issue reaching the international conferences through djibouti though his efforts was based more on irirism.

By 2015 they will get rid of IGAD countries, the army will control the whole south, constitution will be finished, thus only two southern and northern systems are likely to appear in 2016. Dam jadid sees the north big card to stay in the power or get re-elected so at the end of their term they may reach some agreement with the north that needs their implementation.

Great analysis.

Yeah I believe such agreement can't be reached without the northern al islax/al wohda reaching the power or having some strong role...perhapes post-2016.

can you show me a proof that" it was forced on us"

IC only "supports" of what its not their own initiatives

Like I said the talks was a djiboutian initiative, it started in Dec 2012 in djibouti under the cover of the 40th anniversary of af somali... In may, in london conference, the djiboutian president has asked them to back of any potential talks between the FSG and somaliland... There was only one meeting in london wich was kinda of talk to talk. The negotiations have started in turkey and the IC has "supported it" But NOT ABOUT THE SOMALIA STATUS AS MEMBER OF THE UNITED NATIONS, its a political dialogue

I was checking the djiboutian presidents statement but couldn't find it just come accross this part

Who has forced us now djibouti? I bet he informed this somali president before saying it!
" In this article I will try to give Ismail Omar Geele, the president of Djibouti, his due as it relates to his remarks in support of Somaliland in this conference as well as the amicable relationship he maintains with Somaliland and its leaders.
Ismail Omar Geele, along with other fifty-plus delegations from Somalia and members of the international community were present at The London Conference on Somalia at Lancaster House on 23rd February 2012. In his speech at the conference, Mr. Geele spoke highly of the democracy and peace achieved by Somaliland; and he asked the world community to assist Somaliland and Somalia to have a discourse to chart their future dealings. This point was also further echoed in the final conference communiqué, sanctioned by all attendees: “The Conference recognized the need for the international community to support any dialogue that Somaliland and the TFG or its replacement may agree to establish in order to clarify their future relations.”

The talks were a british initiative, djibouti came in in 2012 as you said.
The talks were what we were pushing for for years, the british and the EU promised to help facilitate the talks when somalia had a government.
The last time this was promised was in 2009 under riyale regime.
The desire to see talks with somalia go back as far as egals tenure as early as 2000.
Egal invisioned talks with a future more relavant government, not the carta TFG which he viewed as enemies.

That is what your politicians say to you like faysal waraabe

Its about the whole somalia and these guys are saying in every meeting; come on help yourselves we are trying to help you!

These countries have a collective interests in somalia and they trying to bulid the bridge between somalis by uniting their efforts no more

The AUE had/has its counter-piracy conference and sharif and silanyo just met on the sidelines of that conference!

February2012- London1 conference pragraph() supports the talks wich dJibouti has called for

Stanbul conference pragraph 10(talks)

Djibouti a regional player-geele simsar/middle man-

It Started with chevening house declaration

The new somali govt has accepted them on condition that it shall continue in turkey, totally againist the UAE, and westren initiatives

Westren source
"Delegations representing the Somali Transitional Federal Government (TFG) and the government of Somaliland met at Chevening House in London on 20-21 June as part of a dialogue that began at the London Conference and continued at Istanbul II.

The Chevening House Declaration is unexceptional. It primarily commits both sides to continue the dialogue and cooperate in the fight against terrorism, extremism, crime, piracy, illegal fishing and toxic waste dumping. Importantly, however, it suggests that both sides are willing to continue the talks"

Your media
which are supported by the international community and grew out of the London Conference on Somalia held in February 2012."
"Talks between Somalia and Somaliland began in April, and a new session is scheduled for November 8-10. Turkey will serve as both host and mediator for the meeting, which will touch on political and economic matters. This will be the third round of peace talks hosted by Turkey, featuring Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud and Somaliland’s Silanyo. Silanyo has expressed optimism about the upcoming round of talks, which are supported by the international community and grew out of the London Conference on Somalia held in February 2012."

Somaliland has 169 of those bm21s and Somalia has 19 according to wiki. Sometimes I wonder why we don't just invade them and get our job done
