^Yes the UK is an exception because as a colonial power many migrants from the colonies like Somaliland moved there generations ago and also the war in 1988. But in the rest of Europe there is still Scandanavia, Italy, Germany, Holland, Russia, Switzerland whose Somali population in total outnumbers the UK Somalis tenfold. All together i see the Hawiye are the strongest component. Isaaqs are few outside of the UK with respect to Europe.

Even in parts of Asia like Saudi Arabia there is a strong sizeable Hawiye population in many districts but they are outnumbered by Somalilanders in the rest of Arabia like the UAE, Yemen etc.

Sxb, the largest Somali population in europe is in the UK. Russia and Switzerland are not worth even mentioning and the rest won't add up more than the UK. Thats why every Somali in europe want to relocate to the UK...

I am not well versed about qabiil demographics in the west but UK is home to the largest Somali community outside east Africa. It has nearly more than twice the somali population in the US and four times of that Canada.
UK: roughly 160,000
USA: 85,000
Canada: 44,000
Sweden, Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Norway, Finland and Denmark all have high number of Somali migrants.

I remember we debated this issue previously but I guess it is hard for you accept results from official statistics in your country. 300,000 somalis in Canada is simply a joke and it is a figure claimed only by Somalis similar to the UK Somalis wrongly claiming half a million Somalis in the UK. If I correctly remember initially a Canadian minister made that statement when attending a Somali community event where earlier Somali speakers all repeated that ridiculous statement of 300,000 somalis living in Canada. The misinster was just a respectful gentleman and reciprocated their ridiculous statement. That doesn't mean it was correct. Finally, in UK and most western counties, the every ten years population census is mandatory. I don't understand why Canada would be any different from the rest.

Even if Canadian foreign minister really claimed 300,000 somalis in Canada he was grossly exaggerating numbers. After all he is a politician working to enhance the image of his country to whoever he visits.
