the kid in the picture is Jamal Bana. he was killed fighting with the shabab in somalia. when he was killed, the somali government was parading his dead body around to the international media as proof that there were foreign fighters fighting with the shabab. specifically saying he was a fighter from Afghanistan.

I only did this cause I remember seeing the story about his family finding out he was dead online when he was being paraded around as an afghani when he's just reer xamar.

my point is people who look like him have FOREIGN features not ethnically somali features. and its ridiculous for people to act like hindi lookalikes are normal somalis. they're either foreigners or somewhere along the genetic lineage we have outsiders present. why? cause most of our people don't look like that. most of our people are homogeneous.

how can you say that? anyone descent can be questioned. just cause you can rattle off names doesn't mean everyone who contributed to your genetic makeup was 100% somali. we live along the longest coast line in africa. we have a history dating back to thousands of years of trade and interaction with all types of other races (arabs, greeks, indians, chinese). why is it so hard to imagine that some of those communities were absorbed into the clans living near those areas?

now I'm not holding myself out to be special. i'm pretty sure i have some non-somalis in my makeup. eventhough I'm dhulbahante, my mother's side has probably some mixed ancestry somewhere along the line. many shortish, light skin timo hindi types in there. however, my father side is probably largely somali cause they're reer miyi and largely dark skin aato deer with timo jileec but not timo hindi. the good bushy curly hair that is indicative of pure somali ancestry.
