Obviously there is no such things as a government that is 100% good. There will always be mistakes.

However fighting against SNM was not a mistake, and it is one of the positive things the government has done. A government should never accept rebel movement, especially a movement backed by a arch enemy Ethiopia.

Using the Somali airforce was also a good choice to attack SNM bases. It is effective to shorten the duration of exterminating rebel groups. The longer a war the bad for it is for the country, therefore KUDOS for using the airforce.

However I'am against the certain aspects of the Somali National Army back then, especially the ones taking order from Morgan. He has massacred at least 100 innocent people.

Regards to General Samatar, he was a hero. And welcome his efforts.

SNM was created in 1981 and their goal was to secede just like their predecessors tried it in 1961. What did Kacaan do to Isaaq back in 1980 and before that for them to create this rebel group in 1981? Isaaq were never marginalised pre-1981. I do admit that they were penalised after 1981 when they tried to overthrow the government. This penalisation they deserved. At least their wells were NOT poisoned like they were done to Majerteen when Kulmis rebel group came to existence. If anything the Kacaan government penalised Majerteen more than Isaaq for both their rebellious movements.

The worst thing in Somali history is these tribal movement trying to overthrow a government for power and tribal gains. May Allah curse those that began all these rebel movements. Ameen
