Mise waa from Jowhar in the 1980s; if it is from Jowhar before the war, there is alot of money to be made.

Her Royal Grace; If there is a word that I abhor in the Somali language, it is ”Huuno”. I thought it was an innocuous word until a few years ago. I was visiting friends in Germany, when I visited a Somali politician who was seriously ill in hospital. He was accompanied by a “huuno” chanting concubine who referred to everyone including the doctors and nurses to as “Huuno”. It was Huuno this, Huuno that. On his deathbed when I and a friend visited him, she asked in a loud voice; Huuno laba mijimood noogu dir inamada! He was too weak to reply but my repugnance towards the word was shaped.

Tuushi, it certainly helps. With LJ's meded and bun and Cambuulo, I am positive that the blues will take a break.

It is still common, I guess; but there are dark forces bent on a crusade against human "pulls". SO, I guess it has become clandestine.

Have you tasted it, Tuushi?
