And another point how can we unite if regions are not on the same level, i think individuals should raise their regions to at least an equal playing feild so when we unite as a country theres no big gaps in class, wages, salary that sort of thing

Re: The importance of unity (All about UNITY thread)
The strategic British rulers used the ‘Divide and Rule’ policy to exploit the constantly bickering states and then ruled over them in a very despotic high-handed manner. In Indian history, dictatorial powers have taken advantage of the in-fighting, disunity and disarray of the feudal states.
History teaches us the importance of unity. If a country is united, nothing can shake or unsettle it. Disunity can cause it to be torn asunder in the face of formidable and hostile forces. Former American President Abraham Lincoln said, on the eve of the American Civil War, “A house divided cannot stand”, and pleaded to the American people for unity between the north and south of North America, on the issue of keeping slaves.
In every situation in life, unity is necessary for survival. If one is self-centred, thinking of individual success and accomplishment instead of the team’s overall interest, it can be detrimental to the team. From medieval history to Business Process Outsourcing call centres, all need leaders to possess team spirit for meeting productivity goals in given deadlines. How true is the acronym, ‘TEAM’, which can stand for, ‘Together, Everyone Achieves More.’
Unity is required by units that constitute a society, and that is, families. Even if the families once in a way squabble, argue and bicker among themselves, they should patch up and resolve the differences to give a united façade to the outside world. In families where crisis and rifts are not tided over, greedy relatives can take advantage and exploit the family. In this milieu, how true is the adage on the important gain of being united, “The family that prays together stays together.”
A couple had five sons, always squabbling. The father told the first son to take five sticks, tie them together and try to break them. Obviously, he couldn’t. Then, the father untied the sticks, gave one stick to each son and told them to break the sticks. They all did so easily. The fathertold them, “In life, if one is united as a family and works as a team, one can achieve wonders. If one is disunited, one can fall in the face of formidable opponents eager to take advantage of the weak spot.”
Therefore, the motto of this article is Abraham Lincoln’s quote, where his actual words are, “United we stand, divided we fall.”

Re: The importance of unity (All about UNITY thread)
Question: National unity is the foundation of every country. Countries without solidarity will find it hard to achieve peace and social harmony. Discuss the importance of unity and how to achieve it.In this era of modern technology, national unity is indeed the foundation of every country to achieve peace and social harmony. I strongly believe that national unity is a feeling that you are part of something, part of something bigger than you and that's worth your efforts to make it better. In this essay, I will discuss about the importance of unity and ways to achieve it.First of all, national unity is important because it can enable all the citizens to live in peace and harmony. Without strong unity among the people, our country might be invaded again. Thus, all the people will live in fear. For instance, the riots that happened in Thailand a few years ago had totally influenced the country's economy and development. The military were all over the country and the citizens cannot even do their daily routine as usual. Even the tourists were afraid to visit Thailand. This is why national unity is important- to achieve peace and social harmony among the people in the country.Next, by having national unity among the people can increase the pace of development in the country. As an example, after the bombing in Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, Japan had become a weak country, even after the Meijiâs Restoration. But, because of the strong bond of national unity among the people in Japan, they can easily develop again. In fact, Japan had become one of the most advanced countries in the 21st century. Even our former prime minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohammad had elected Japan as an example for all the people here in Malaysia to follow their work ethics. To achieve national unity, we must first stop being racist. We are lucky to be in a multiracial country. Thus, to achieve national unity, we should be able to tolerate each other. By each other I mean by other races and religions. Even our government has organised a lot of events to strengthen our national unity. One of it includes the Malaysia concept which was introduced by our current prime minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak. According to Datuk Seri Najib, Malaysia is not a new concept or formula. It is a concept to foster unity in Malaysians of all races based on several important values which should become the practice of every Malaysian. The education system is also important as a way to enhance national unity especially among youngsters in the country. Students in school should be taught about the importance of upholding national unity. For instance, they can be taughtabout it during History lesson or maybe during Civics Studies lesson. The co-curriculum is also one of the ways for the students to practise national unity. Itis important for youngsters to know and practise social unity as they are the leaders of tomorrow. It is true that our country today is in peace and harmony. But effective ways should be taken to preserve it.In conclusion, national unity is important towards a stable, peaceful and harmonious country. I still strongly believe that national unity is a feeling thatyou are part of the country and to know that it is your responsibility to make it better. However, national unity should not be mistaken for extreme nationalism. Everybody in the country should have good cooperation in supporting the activities that are organised by the government to preserve our peace and harmony.

What does it got to do with you? Like I mentioned on this thread before. If you don't care about unity and the topic of this thread then don't participate in it.gurey25 wrote:again why is this a sticky????
P.S. Also if you think this thread has to do with Somaliland people ONLY then NO. This thread is mainly for Southern Somalis, whom are very disunited with themselves. Now bounce off you dimbwit.
Re: The importance of unity (All about UNITY thread)
Wallahi its always funny to watch all the isaaqs jump into anything whenever the word unity is mentioned, typical somalidiids since the days of MAH (AUN).

Re: The importance of unity (All about UNITY thread)
Darods today everybody understands the meaning of the word unity and it has no relationship to the one in the English dictionary. We understand that unity is a weapon so drop the lies and fake covers of nationalism. These guys are funny, on one hand they will take land which doesn't belong to them from minoritie tribes and in the same breath cry unity or Somalinimo. Where is this unity they speak of when they have created this exclusive enclave Buntland that nobody but Majerteens have any rights and those from the south are shipped out deported back to Somalia.
No UNITY SXB, it's a nice word. That's all

So we have 1 dog, any other dogs ? feel free to bark.
The Xabasha must be over the moon with Somalis themselves, fighting to run away from each other.

Your people have a region exclusively for them. It's a place where your people have rights and other Somalis are treated as foreigners and majority of cases deported. How can you cry unity to others. That's what munaaqs are. It's what the mad mullah said about your people. Two faced muunafaqs

Understanding Darods;
Unity; a word to be used whenever Isaaq's are around. As if it's them who are holding Somalia back.
Federalism; a word to be used against Hawiyes. Meaning we will have our share of the cake whilst eating your share too.

Sxb why are you so angry all the time ? Calm down dear.
Puntland only exists because Harti were tribally cleansed from Xamar this less than 20 years ago. Also because Xamar as the capital was defunct for the last 20 years and counting. Now that wasn't so hard now was it ?
As your for your two faced comment ? Its called Politics. See Machiavelli: Virtù/Fortuna and the Lion/fox......
But don't worry its ok to be mad at reer Puntland, because it is them solely who are blocking your succession bid, but simply being semi-autonomous + our Hawiye kin.
Would you be a unionist if you got your fair share in the Somalia, or do you just hate your own ethnic group, you should follow your mate Gurey25 instead of acting like a child, 1 clan can not become a country, the UN/Puntland will not allow it ?

Re: The importance of unity (All about UNITY thread)
Not all Daaroods have that mentality. But I agree that those Daaroods that have that mentality are a threat to the nationhood of Somalia. I already mentioned in this thread and other threads that federal system is no good for Somalia and only brings more clashes and disunity and same goes for the 4.5 system.
I suggest before pointing fingers at each other it is best for all Somali clans to put their hands up and surrender to peace and reconciliation. We don't have time for grudges and competition.
South Somalia need to unite themselves before we even look at Somaliland.
